Ather has finally pulled the Ather Rizta out of the curtains at an introductory starting price of Rs. 1.10 lakhs. It comes in a selection of 2 variants and 3 models to choose from. While it offers a max claimed range of 160 km in the range-topping variant, let's quickly jump into the variant analysis. Ather Rizta Variants: S and Z

The entry-level S variant comes in a single battery pack option of 2.9 kWh whereas the Z variant sits above it and offers 2 battery options with a 2.9 kWh and a 3.7 kWh battery pack. Let's look at the break-up of features and more with the Ather Rizta variants.

Z Variant- 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh (In Addition To S Variant)

The break-up of variants is pretty simple. While you get the entry-level S Variant with a sole smaller 2.9 kWh battery option, the Z variant goes a length forward. The z variant offers 2 battery options with capacities of 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh. These are the same options that you have previously seen on the Ather scooters. The former claims a range of 123 km while the latter claims a range of 160 km.

Ather Rizta Variants: What Stays The Same

While there are some distinctions in features, they are the same in dimensions and other physical attributes. Also, all three models get the same electric motor that churns out 4.3 kW power with a peak torque of 22 Nm. All have a top speed capped at 80 kmph with them reaching from 0- 40 kmph in just 4.7 seconds. In terms of battery warranty, you get a 5-year/60,000 km warranty with all the variants whichever is earlier.

Verdict

The Rizta family scooter has a lot to offer. While it is an expanded version of the 450X, it is an entirely new product aimed at a more practical daily life users. With its neat little and nifty tricks and a lot of space on board, it is definently a star in the making. You can expect to see a growing number of these as it reaches more and more dealserships.
