Honda CR-V 2018-2020 Mileage Tips

Air pressure vs Fuel economy

Keeping your car's tyre pressure at the recommended level improves fuel economy by up to 5%. Underinflated tyres create drag, causing the engine to work harder. Check air pressure every two weeks and before long trips. Slightly higher pressure (by 1-2 PSI) for highway drives can further boost mileage.

Best petrol SUV

Honda CR-V 6 th gen I come from a background where we have had 5 Honda cars and when I was planning to buy an SUV then CR-V was the one which came to my mind. Since my daily running is 20 km and occasional highway runs conclude to 1000 km driving (thrice in a year), CR-V was the perfect blend. I chose the petrol engine only and the CVT gearbox is quite responsive while driving on highways. The huge panoramic sunroof helps me drive the car in peace while my kids glance at the clouds. This SUV delivers me a mileage between 10-12 km/l which is great and well appreciated. The engine is refined and what I miss is if this car could come with more features and a good looking design. Being a Honda fan boy I am not complaining but then today we have so many options in the market so Honda needs to understand this.

Best SUV of its time

Honda CR-V 3 rd gen I own a third-gen Honda CR-V with 2.4L petrol engine which gets a 4WD set-up. The engine makes 159 bhp and this is my 5-speed automatic version. I brought this car in 2009 and it was a hit in our Indian market. Till now I have covered close to 40,000 km in this and no issues with the engine or build quality. The SUV still pulls like a newer one and I have always opted for the authorised Hyundai service. The average is something you do not want to talk about when you get a petrol expensive SUV of this size. It delivers me single digit fuel economy and my run is pretty much low. The car looks perfect even now and brings out the charm of a feature-rich SUV. The only problem I faced was in the electric sunroof and electrically adjustable powered drivers seat. Now my car gets a manual adjustable driver seat as the electrically adjustable was a failure and it stopped one day. Else, no car gives the driving pleasure as a Honda and I am satisfied with my car.
