If you are looking to buy the Meridian with 4x4, you will have to look at the automatic transmission variants, since those are the variants the 4x4 system comes equipped with. If you are okay with missing out on the Level 2 ADAS suite, there is no reason to not choose the Limited (O) 4x4 variant which was re-launched not too long ago, with prices starting from Rs 36.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

The tuning of the suspension is refined, with excellent cabin ambiance. The 2L engine is powerful but fuel efficiency can be an issue. If you are not convinced about the Meridian, you might explore the Fortuner, the Gloster, or the MUX from Isuzu.
