BYD eMax 7 is an electric MPV launched in the Indian market. It replaces the e6 Electric and comes in 6- and 7-seater configurations. The MPV comes loaded with many features for the owner's better convenience such as a fixed panoramic glass roof, a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen, and ventilated seats among other features. Moreover, the brand has launched the MPV with two powertrain options giving it a range of up to 530 km on a single charge. The EV features BYD’s Blade Battery which is considered one of the most advanced battery packs.

Last updated on 11th Dec'24: The eMAX 7 is essentially a replacement to the e6 MPV, and it now gets a usable third row of seats as well. Unlike its predecessor, the eMAX 7 is available to private buyers as well. It comes with two battery pack options, and you can choose between 6-seater and 7-seater variants.
The BYD eMAX 7 has launched in India, offering two battery pack options: 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh. It comes in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. The prices start at Rs 26.90 lakh and can go up to Rs 29.90 lakh.

The BYD eMax 7 is the successor of the BYD e6 Electric. The eMax 7 boasts several new design elements with sharp lines and creases on the body. At the front, it gets a new Dragon face fascia with a chrome lining connecting both headlamps, a new bumper with new air vents, and sporty styling. The headlamp unit is now new LED headlamps which the brand calls Crystal Diamond Floating headlamps.

The side profile of the MPV gets sharp lines that are elegantly integrated with the body lines. It gets new multi-spoke 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The MPV gets door-mounted ORVMs and roof rails.

The rear profile gets a new LED taillamp with a sleek connected LED light and a chrome strip connecting the taillamps. The rear bumper is also new and it also features a sporty design.

The eMax 7 comes with two battery pack options, a 55.4. kWh and 71.8 kWh. The smaller 55.4 kWh battery pack comes with a claimed range of 420 km. This variant generates 160 PS of power and 310 Nm of peak torque. The 0-100 kmph acceleration time is 10.1 seconds.

The bigger 71.8 kWh battery pack option comes with a claimed range of 530 km. This version generates 204 PS of power and the same 310 Nm of peak torque. The 0-100 kmph acceleration time for this version is 8.6 seconds.

The new BYD EV comes with a good number of standard safety features which include 6-airbags, all seat seat belt reminder, ABS, EPB, ESC, TCS, EBD, hill-hold control, regenerative braking system, 360-degree monitor, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, electric parking brake with auto hold among other features.

The interior of the eMax 7 comes with an elegant Black+Brown interior theme. The seats are covered with Brown leatherette material, the dashboard gets black treatment with some wooden trims. The dashboard features a minimalistic design with a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, a three-spoke steering wheel, and an analogue instrument console.

On the features front, the cabin now gets a fixed panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, power front seats, wireless charging, automatic climate control, PM 2.5 filtration system, and 6 speakers, among other features.

The eMax 7 comes with 6- and 7-seater configurations, the 6-seater variant gets captain chairs in the second row and the 7-seater variant gets a bench seat. The 7-seater variant offers a 60:40 split seat in the middle row. If we talk about the boot space, it offers a boot space of 180 litres with all rows up, and with the last row folded it offers a boot capacity of 580 litres. The rear rows get roof-mounted AC vents, the second row gets a Type A and Type C charging port.
