What's New On The Jeep Meridian Track Edition?

Visually, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition distinguishes itself through a sportier theme. The SUV features Piano Black accents across the grille, badges, and exterior mouldings, along with a Dark Espresso grille finished with Neutral Grey highlights. A signature hood decal and Track Edition insignia further separate it from the standard Overland trim. The SUV also rides on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. While these are primarily cosmetic changes, they lend the Meridian a slightly more assertive stance, particularly when compared to the regular model's more understated appearance.

The most meaningful update, however, is inside the cabin. The Track Edition introduces a 140 mm full-forward sliding second row, improving access to the third row and offering greater flexibility for passenger and luggage space management. For a three-row SUV in this price bracket, this is a practical addition that addresses usability, especially for family-focused buyers. The interior also adopts a new dual-tone Tupelo and suede finish with contrast stitching and quilting. Dark Espresso highlights, Piano Black bezels, and Track Edition branding elements are spread across the cabin. The Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel and updated upholstery elevate the overall premium feel, although the layout and feature list remain consistent with the Overland trim.

The Jeep Meridian Track Edition continues with a comprehensive feature list, including a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and a premium Alpine sound system. It also gets a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 12-way powered and ventilated front seats with memory function, and a Level 2 ADAS suite offering more than 10 active safety features.

Engine Details

Under the hood, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition continues with the 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine producing 170hp and 350Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Jeep's Selec-Terrain system is retained for improved off-road adaptability.

In terms of pricing, the Jeep Meridian Track AT is priced at Rs 35.95 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Meridian Track AT 4x4 costs Rs 37.82 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers will also need to opt for a mandatory AXS pack priced at Rs 9,200, and the bookings for the SUV are now open across Jeep dealerships in India.

Verdict

The Jeep Meridian Track Edition doesn't alter the SUV's mechanical package, but it does add meaningful differentiation through styling tweaks and a more versatile sliding second row. For buyers seeking a distinct look along with enhanced cabin practicality, this edition makes a strong case, particularly given the Meridian's strong feature list and capable diesel-automatic setup. However, those expecting performance upgrades may find it to be more of a cosmetic refresh than a transformative update.
