The dashboard has taken its inspiration from the previous version and has a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. The digital cluster is 10.25-inch that provides clear visibility and is easy to use. The three-spoke steering wheel can be found even in the Meridian. The seats of the car have a leather upholstery. The seats in the middle-row are reclined and can be slid back to increase the existing legroom. The third seaters will get reclined seating as well along with USB charging slots and AC vents. It offers 230-litres of luggage room even when all the seats are in use. The seats are foldable up to 50-50 split for the third row and 60-40 split for the second row, increasing the luggage room incredibly by 1760-litres.

The Jeep Meridian will enter the Indian market with a 2.0-litre diesel engine offering a maximum power of 200 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The tried and tested motor ensures consistent performance with no lags or abrupt accelerations. The car is powerful enough to take on any terrain easily.

The Jeep 7-seater SUV, like the other models in the product portfolio, will offer Terrain Modes and Hill Descent Control that makes it compatible for long journeys, difficult terrains, bumpy roads, and even heavy traffic. In all likelihood, the SUV will be a good option to use in rain or snow or in other conditions with low traction on offer. Also, in typical Jeep fashion, the ride-and-handling dynamics can be safely expected to be well-sorted and the SUV should offer a plush ride while ensuring the vehicle feels quite confident when apex hunting.

The Jeep Meridian will offer a gamut of active and passive safety features including 7 airbags. There will be even other features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), different Traction Modes to avoid skidding, and also a 360-degree camera to help the user be aware of the surroundings. The model is not yet crash-tested by NCAP but is expected to perform well when it finally goes on the test bed.
