Tata Motors has made leaps and bounds in the world of passenger cars and the Altroz is a fine example of the same. You pick any parameter that needs to be satisfied for a consumer of this segment and this car ticks it properly. For starters, the Altroz looks beautiful, aggressive and modern, all at the same time. The current 1.5 diesel is a delight, offering terrific punch from just over tick over - this means it is a hoot to drive at lower revs, offering phenomenal low end punch which negates shifting of gears. 
If you can live without an automatic, the Altroz may be the answer to your perfect premium hatchback.
