2025 Yezdi Roadster Design

The Yezdi Roadster remains familiar on first glance, and things do not appear very different until you move to the rear, which we will get to in a bit. Despite the initial familiarity, the Roadster remains a good-looking motorcycle, retaining its muscular stance and the neo-retro treatment working well enough. We did expect the Roadster to come with the twin-barrel headlamp from the Adventure, given that the bikemaker previously said that it will become an identity across models. However, it retains the familiar round LED headlamp.

That said, the motorcycle comes with the option of short, medium, and tall windscreens, along with various cowls, including one that appears inspired by an American motorcycle. The telescopic forks now come with rubber boots for that extra retro touch, but the twin-spoke alloy rims continue to be familiar on both ends. The extended rake angle might also remind you of the old D250 Classic from many angles.

The teardrop tank has also been retained, but it now gets updated decals, and the mechanicals also continue to be covered in all-black. The tail section is where things get interesting, as it now gets a new rear fender that has been chopped, and it is also more fatter. The tail lamp and the number plate mount have moved lower down to a tyre-hugger unit, and the turn indicators are mounted higher up.
All in all, the Roadster can be customized into whatever you want to make it look like, and that might just be one of the best things about this motorcycle.
2025 Yezdi Roadster Hardware

There are certain hardware changes that have taken place on the Yezdi Roadster. The dual-cradle frame has been retained, but the bikemaker says it has been strengthened. The rear sub-frame is new, and there is also a new swingarm as well. While the 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels have been retained, the rear tyre now sits on a fatter 150-section tyre.

The kerb weight, interestingly, has gone down from 194kg to 183.4kg, while the seat height has gone up from 790mm to 795mm. The outgoing Roadster had a somewhat cruiser-like riding position; I say somewhat because even though the footpegs are not extremely forward-set, the seat is low and the handlebars are wide and pulled towards the rider, but you can choose between various kinds from the accessories suite which we will discuss in a bit. The marginal increase in the seat height should still make the Roadster accessible to riders of various heights. What remains to be seen is how the new Roadster is in terms of ride and handling, given the hardware changes.
2025 Yezdi Roadster Powertrain

The 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine has also been retained, and while the power output continues to be 28.7bhp, the torque has marginally gone up to 30Nm; 0.6Nm more than before, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The Roadster, despite its cruiser appearance, has a far higher-strung engine with great acceleration. In terms of performance, it clearly outpaces rivals like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. However, this also means that riding it at lower revs in city conditions gets quite difficult.
That said, it remains to be seen how different this powertrain is, given that the bike now produces a marginal amount of torque more than it did previously. We can expect the motorcycle to still feature the same kind of acceleration and performance.

2025 Yezdi Roadster Features And Accessories

In terms of equipment, there is not much that has changed on the Roadster. It continues to be offered with the same round digital cluster, featuring the usual speedometer, odometer, a gear position indicator and other tell-tale lights. The cluster, however, now gets adjustable brightness, which is a good add-on, considering the previous bike's cluster was difficult to read in sunny conditions and when on the go.

Interestingly, you can choose between conventional turn indicators and multi-function turn indicators that work in a similar capacity as the ones on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, i.e the winkers also function as the brake lamp. However, we do feel that there should have been turn-by-turn navigation on offer by now, as using a phone mount is simply unsafe.

The Roadster now gets a wide range of accessories that allow you to customize the bike as per your tastes. The pillion seat can be removed easily, and you can choose between a hydroformed standard handlebar to a more wider handlebar. Additionally, you can also choose between short and tall visors, headlamp cowls, crash guards, luggage mounts, boxes, and backrests.
Verdict
The new Roadster continues to be rather affordable, and Yezdi claims to have improved it in a lot of aspects. While it does seem a lot more tasteful considering how widely you can customize the bike to suit your tastes, how it rides in the real world is something that we are waiting to answer, and that will surely happen soon enough.
