Hero MotoCorp's Upcoming 125cc and 440cc Motorcycles; Details
The Indian bikemaker plans to launch two new 125cc motorcycles, one of which is said to be loaded with features, as Hero says it plans to disrupt the market. Hero also claims this bike will be loaded with 'best-in-class' features, tech, and style.' This leaves a lot of room for guesswork, but we suspect this has a lot to do with a test mule that was spotted recently, which is said to be the new Glamour 125 according to many rumours and reports.

This particular motorcycle was spotted with cruise control, along with a TFT instrument cluster that appears similar to the unit seen on the Xtreme 250R and the Karizma XMR 210. The switchgear also seems to have icons to control the cluster, and we believe this motorcycle may come equipped with turn-by-turn navigation, and bluetooth connectivity with call and SMS alerts. The rest of the motorcycle was wrapped up in duct tape, making it difficult to guess things further, but it does get a long seat, which hints towards a premium commuter with a focus on comfort.

The second motorcycle is going to be an updated variant of the Xtreme 125R performance commuter. Although it is difficult to tell what this updated motorcycle could come with turn-by-turn navigation and USD forks, likely in response to Honda's CB125 Hornet entering the segment with these features and then some more.

Moving on to Hero's premium aspirations, the bikemaker aims to expand the Hero-Harley lineup over the next few months. The first motorcycle is likely to be an update to the existing X440, which is said to arrive in the second quarter of this year. Additionally, there will be another motorcycle which will be seen in 2026. This is likely to be an all-new product altogether on the X440 platform.
It is difficult to comment on any specifics, but this new motorcycle could take inspiration from Harley-Davidson's staple cruiser heritage and it could be a proper low-sluung retro cruiser, as the X440 follows a more upright, neo-retro roadster design language.

Verdict
Hero's plans for the next few months seem pretty clear, as it focuses on improving its reach at the premium side of things. With the new 125cc offerings and the 440-based bike coming soon, Hero wants to cover all bases of the Indian two-wheeler segment, given its strong foothold in the 100-110cc segment.
