Latest Updates on X440
The Harley-Davidson X440T has been launched in India at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom) as a more premium and sportier variant positioned above the standard X440. It features revised styling with a sleeker tail section, extended seat, bar-end mirrors and bronze accents, while retaining the same 440cc engine producing around 27bhp and 38Nm, along with USD forks, alloy wheels and dual-channel ABS.
The Harley-Davidson X440T was unveiled as an updated version of the X440, featuring design revisions such as a reworked tail section, new rear fenders and a longer, lower seat aimed at improving rider and pillion comfort. It retains the same instrument cluster and overall mechanical setup, and the model is part of Harley-Hero’s plan to expand the 440 platform based on customer feedback.
Hero MotoCorp confirmed that the Harley?Davidson X440 will retain its pricing despite a GST hike on motorcycles above 350cc, with prices continuing to start at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The GST slab for such motorcycles increased from 28% to 40%, but the company chose to absorb the additional cost instead of passing it to buyers, while the bike continues to be offered in Denim, Vivid and S variants.
A new Harley-Davidson motorcycle based on the 440cc platform is reportedly under development, and it could launch later this year or early next year as part of the brand’s expansion with Hero MotoCorp. The upcoming model is expected to be a completely new product, possibly inspired by Harley’s classic cruiser lineage, likely positioned to rival bikes like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda H’ness CB350, and may even carry a well-known Harley nameplate.
