The Honda SP 125 is a decent commuter bike. It is made for sensible buyers looking for long-term reliability and a smooth bike to use. • Engine performance is very silent and refined
    • Fuel economy inside the city is very good
    • Suspension offers a comfortable ride quality overall

Should I buy the SP 125?

Honda SP 125 is a commuter bike that is positioned above the entry-level category. With its subtle design and good build quality, it offers a complete family package. However, it has very less features when compared to rivals. With its comfortable ride quality and Honda’s reliable setup, it is made for family buyers looking for a sensible everyday commuter.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 is also a rival of the Honda SP 125. The Pulsar 125 offers the practicality of a fuel-economical engine with aggressive looks. The bulky design of Pulsar is loved by youngsters. However, it feels very outdated and it is not as refined as the Honda SP 125. Moreover, the Honda offers a comfortable ride quality and better space for the pillion to sit.

Hero has recently introduced the new Xtreme 160R 4V in the market. It competes with the SP 160. But, the Xtreme is better. The Xtreme 160R 4V has a smooth engine, a comfy ride, better brakes, and many features. However, to get the fully loaded version, you'll have to spend more money compared to the Honda SP 160.

Another major rival to the Honda SP 160 is the Bajaj Pulsar N160. The Pulsar offers a very bold, butch, & muscular design appeal that caters to young buyers. Also, the fit & finish of N160 is very good. But, the sole reason buyers prefer the N160 is its powerful engine & the availability of the dual-channel ABS. However, the N160 feels raw to ride in comparison to the smoothness of the SP160. Out of the two, we recommend the Pulsar N160 due to its better value-for-money package.

Best bike in the new generation, a true beast in the 125cc commuter segment. It delivers around 62+ km/l mileage in the city and nearly 72+ km/l on the highway without any hesitation.

Latest On Honda SP 125

Last Updated On 12th Aug'25: The Honda SP 125 is one of the popular models in the Honda lineup. Similar to its siblings, the Activa 110 and Activa 125, this one gets the Anniversary edition updates. With this edition, the SP 125 gets refreshed graphics on the side, while the fuel tank holds a Anniversary Edition Badging on the top. Apart from this, the alloys have been painted in pyrite brown for a distinctive appeal. Just like the other models, this one also gets the same 123.92cc, single-cylinder, PGM-FI, OBD2B-compliant engine that belts out 10.72 bhp and 10.9 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, this edition only carries the DLX variant, priced at Rs 1,02,516 (ex-showroom).

The 2025 SP 125 was launched not too long ago, with a set of very subtle updates. The design of the commuter has been given minor tweaks, while the powertrain has now become OBD2b compliant to meet the emission norms. It now also gets a 4.2-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, navigation, voice commands, and a USB type-C charging port.
