Should I buy the HF Deluxe?
The Hero HF Deluxe is a very budget-friendly city commute motorcycle. It has light handling and good fuel economy. The engine performance is enough to keep up with the traffic pace. The rider can comfortably sit on it for long hours.. It doesn’t get a lot of features but the generic design and comfortable riding make it a good all-rounder bike. We recommend it to those who want a sensible commute bike with good fuel economy for the city.
- The design and styling of HF Deluxe is very generic and neutral. It has been designed for city commutes and it is a proper family bike to look at. The build quality of the whole bike is consistent and good. The plastic panels used are of good quality as well. The sleek design of the fuel tank and long seat helps in easy handling. It gets a rectangular headlight and a rectangular taillight. Mixed with alloy wheels and dual-colour combos, it looks decent on the road.
- The slim 9.6 lts fuel tank shape and the long single seat make up for a comfortable riding position. The rider remains very comfortable due to the comfy riding posture. The handlebar is set towards the rider and the footpegs are in the centre which aids in comfort. The pillion also gets enough seat cushioning for easy long rides.

- The Hero HF Deluxe is widely known for its refined engine performance. This engine has a good low-end punch and the pickup is very good. The torquey nature of it helps in riding the bike easily inside the city. The 4-speed gearbox is also slick and easy to use. However, it is not meant for riding fast and the top speed is around 90 kmph. The best cruising speed of it is 60 kmph. Also, this engine doesn’t heat in traffic even after long use.
- The ARAI-claimed mileage of Hero HF Deluxe is 70 kmpl. This engine gives better fuel economy. Users on our website say that, in city traffic, it gets more than 60 kmpl if ridden slowly.
- Due to the low centre of gravity, less kerb weight, and sleek design, the handling of Hero HF Deluxe is very easy for city use. Even with a pillion, the rider can easily ride it in bumper-to-bumper traffic every day. Also, during long rides, this agile handling helps in increasing the comfort of the rider.
- The ride quality of HF Deluxe is very neutral and comfortable. The front has telescopic suspension. The rear has spring shockers. They provide a cushioning ride most of the time. It is only on sharp potholes where the bike bounces a little. For most of the time, it remains pliant and neutral.
- The Hero HF Deluxe doesn’t offer a lot of features. It gets halogen lights, alloy wheels, drum brakes, and an integrated braking system. The speedometer of it is analogue while there is an option for a USB phone charger. The i3S start/stop tech helps in attaining better mileage. It also gets a side-stand engine cut-off along with an engine cut-off while the bike falls.
- Hero has equipped the HF Deluxe with 130mm of drum brakes on both ends. These are the biggest brakes in its segment. The Hero HF Deluxe has an integrated braking system. It has decent braking and safety for city riding. Although, we would’ve loved the option of a disc brake at the front.
