Ultraviolette X-47 Venom Launched at Rs 2.65 Lakh: Range, Features, Prices

Ultraviolette, the Bengaluru-based automotive company that develops high-performance electric two-wheelers, has launched the latest X-47 Venom at a starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The X-47 isn’t a brand new product; it was first launched in September of 2025. But this time, the company has introduced a new VX-100 platform, which is the main highlight, as this is going to be the new base for all future products from Ultraviolette. More information about the X-47 below.

The improvements to the Ultraviolette X-47 Venom come from the new VX-100 platform, which updates the battery, electric motor, and motor controller. All three components are lighter and offer higher energy density while also cooling more efficiently. According to Ultraviolette, these changes help the motorcycle sustain high performance for longer and improve regenerative braking.

Ballistic, the X-47 Venom’s fastest riding mode, can now be used until the battery charge drops to 10 percent, compared to 30 percent earlier. Regenerative braking also kicks in at a higher state of charge, now working from 99 percent battery charge instead of 90 percent previously.

Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Battery and Range

The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom is available with two battery pack options: a 7.5kWh unit and an 11kWh unit. The standard X-47 Venom and X-47 Venom+ get the smaller battery pack, which offers a claimed IDC range of 227km. The X-47 Venom Recon and X-47 Venom Recon+ use the larger 11 kWh battery and have a claimed IDC range of 343 km.

All four variants have a claimed top speed of 155 kph and 550 Nm of wheel torque. Battery warranty coverage varies by variant, with the standard X-47 Venom getting a 3-year/60,000 km warranty, while the higher variants offer a 5-year/1 lakh km warranty.

Performance Figures & Charging Time

X-47 Venom

The new VX-100 platform brings several improvements, but the Ultraviolette X-47 Venom's peak performance figures remain largely unchanged. On the Recon variant, peak power is now 40hp, down by 0.2hp, while peak torque has fallen by 10Nm to 90Nm. Claimed rear-wheel torque is also lower, dropping from 610Nm to 550Nm.

Despite these reductions, the new model is quicker from 0 to 100 kmph. Ultraviolette claims a 0-60 kmph time of 2.7 seconds, the same as before, while the 0-100 kmph sprint now takes 5.9 seconds, 2.2 seconds less than previously. The lower weight could explain the improvement.

Charging time has increased, with the VX-100, though. With the standard 1.3kW portable charger, charging from 20 to 80 percent takes 5 hours and 30 minutes, up from 5 hours previously.

Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: New features

The updated X-47 Venom gets three notable additions: cruise control, camera-based parking assistance, and a larger 7-inch TFT instrument display. However, these features are available only on the top three variants (Recon +).

Dual-channel ABS, traction control, and dynamic stability control continue to be offered as standard. Higher variants get a four-level traction control system, Ultraviolette's radar-based Hypersense rider assistance system, and an integrated dashcam, among other features. The new 7-inch TFT display runs on an Android-based operating system and uses Qualcomm hardware.

Dimensions, brakes and suspension

The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom retains its existing dimensions, including an 820mm seat height, 200mm ground clearance and a 1,385mm wheelbase. It also continues to use a steel trellis frame.

The braking and suspension hardware remains unchanged. The motorcycle gets a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, along with a 41mm preload-adjustable upside-down (USD) front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock.

Tyre sizes are unchanged as well, with a 110/70 R17 tyre at the front and a 150/60 R17 unit at the rear.
