The new Jawa 42 FJ is an appealing motorcycle, it comes with different colour options, better dimensions, a new engine with enhanced performance, and offers a good blend of a retro and modern motorcycles. The neo-classic segment has gained traction in the Indian market and the new Jawa 42 FJ has the potential to be a fierce rival in the segment. However, rivals like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 provide better value for money and benefit from an extensive network of service centers nationwide, which the Jawa currently lacks.

What we admire in this bike
A bigger 334cc Alpha 2 engine compared to the standard Jawa 42
The Alpha 2 engine is more refined as compared to the 300cc engine
The design of the motorcycle looks appealing
Gets better dimensions compared to the regular Jawa 42
Dual-channel ABS, Assist & Slipper clutch available as standard fitment
Multiple colour options available
What could have been better
Some colour options are a bit overpriced
The base colour option gets spokes wheel
The seat length is short, and riding with a pillion for long rides could be uncomfortable
The availability of sales and service networks is still limited as compared to rivals
