Design Language
The new 42 FJ gets a sportier design that easily differentiates from the standard Jawa 42. The Jawa 42 FJ has design elements such as a teardrop fuel tank and Jawa stickers on the body. The roadster motorcycle gets a new set of alloy wheels. In terms of the side profile, the motorcycle remains largely similar with the same side panels and fenders as the Jawa 42 standard. Additionally, you get dual upswept exhausts and a new seat profiling.
Features
The all-new 42 FJ features LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that shows crucial ride-related information and call/SMS alerts as well. Apart from this, you get an assist and slipper clutch and dual channel ABS.
Engine
The 42 FJ is powered by a new 350cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Alpha 2 engine that makes 29.1 bhp of power and 28.1 Nm of torque. It means the FJ generates higher power figures than the standard Jawa 42. For transmission duties, the powerhouse gets a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
The all-new 42 FJ is based on the double cradle frame which is suspended by 41mm telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking duties, there are 320mm discs on both sides with dual-channel ABS (standard for all variants).
Price Details
The Jawa 42 has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 1.99 lakh which goes up to Rs. 2.20 lakh for the top-end Deep Black- Black Clad variant. The bike is available in five paint schemes- Aurora Green Matte, Cosmo Blue Matte, Mystique Copper, Deep Black- Red Clad and Deep Black- Black Clad. The company has also commenced the booking for the new roadster and interested buyers can book their unit at Rs. 947.
