Gogoro Introduces Apple Wallet Integration for Smartscooter Keys

Users in Taiwan can now effortlessly share their scooter keys with fellow iOS users. This convenient feature is introduced alongside the launch of Gogoro's SuperSport TCS, Delight, CrossOver, and CrossOver S Smartscooters. What's exciting is that this functionality extends to over 300,000 existing Smartscooter customers in Taiwan.

Adding your scooter key to Apple Wallet brings a whole new level of ease. By simply holding your device close to the scooter's NFC-enabled reader, unlocking your vehicle becomes a seamless experience. The Express Mode takes it up a notch  there's no need to unlock or wake your device; just tap, and you're good to go. Even if your iPhone or Apple Watch needs a charge, worry not  Power Reserve ensures you can still use your device to unlock your scooter effortlessly.

The Scooter Key in Apple Wallet offers a secure and private way for Smartscooter owners to access their rides. It leverages the robust privacy and security features embedded in the iPhone and Apple Watch. Importantly, both Apple and Gogoro respect user privacy, ensuring that they have no knowledge of when, where, or with whom customers use or share their scooter keys. In case of a misplaced iPhone or Apple Watch, the Find My app can be used to put the device in Lost Mode, aiding in its retrieval.

Once successfully added, you have the convenience of sharing your scooter key with other iOS users through popular messaging apps like Messages, LINE, or WeChat, directly from your Apple Wallet.
