Last updated on 8th May'23: The Crayon Zeez is one of the affordable, low-cost, low-speed electric vehicles, which doesn’t require registration for usage. This cheap electric two-wheeler from homegrown Crayon motors is being offered in a single variant.
Battery and Motor: The low-speed Crayon Zeez has a hub-mounted 0.25 kW electric motor, which is decently powerful enough to give it a top speed of 25 kmph. This performance makes it suitable only for low-speed commuting. The Zeez has a 48/60V lithium-ion battery, and while Crayon Motors doesn’t claim a maximum riding range for the scooter, it is decent enough to return a riding range between 50-60 km. While this is a low-riding range, it is decent enough for the price at which it comes.
Design and features: The design of the Crayon Zeez looks very edgy but basic by modern standards. The compact and sharp-looking bodywork of the Crayon Zeez consists of a sloping front apron, which houses the triangular halogen headlamp on its lower part. The side cowls of the front apron and handlebar cowl also have edgy designs to them, with the latter housing clear lens turn indicators within it on its sides. The Crayon Zeez comes with 10-inch black alloy wheels., shod with 3.00-10 tyres.The side panels of the Crayon Zeez carry forward the edgy design of the front profile, with the electric scooter having a compact floorboard and an aluminium pillion grab rail for a comfortable riding experience. For more comfort for the pillion riders, the Zeez also comes with a pillion backrest as standard, which is placed behind the pillion seat. The dual-tone colour treatment for the body panels adds a youthful look to the Crayon Zeez. The rear profile of the Crayon Zeez has an angular tail lamp cluster, which comes with clear lens turn indicators on the sides. The Zeez has a very basic fully-digital instrument console with speed and remaining range on display. Other features which make the Zeez a practical scooter to live with are mobile charging, a side stand sensor and large under-seat storage space.
Colours: Crayon Motors is offering the Zeez electric scooter in four colour options to choose from – Super White, Classic Black, Soothing Blue and Fiery Red. All these colour options have a dual-tone treatment to them.
Rivals: The Crayon Zeez is available for Rs 48,000, which makes it one of the most affordable electric scooters on sale in the country. It competes with other low-cost electric scooters like Ujaas eZy, Avon eScoot and Tunwal Sport 63 Mini.
