The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 has been one of the best-selling versions of 125 cc scooters. The scooter was updated with a number of new features by the manufacturer and a BS6 compliant version was also released. Thanks to its overall design language, the Access 125 has a very appealing appearance. It does have a charming antique motif, and its lofty position distinguishes it from the majority of its rivals. There are no unnecessary cuts or creases in the panels, and the addition of subtle chrome accents improves the overall aesthetic. Finally, it is fair to conclude that the Access 125 is still one of the classiest-looking scooters in its category.The scooter has a powerful appearance thanks to the body's curved contour line, and the chrome trim on the LED headlamps adds to the car's upscale appearance. The scooter also has chrome-plated rear-view mirrors and five-spoke blacked-out alloy wheels. This gearless scooter includes numerous luxury inserts that have been added by the company.

In addition to the features listed above, the Suzuki Access 125 has a leatherette seat cover to give it a more luxurious appearance. Additionally, the Access 125 boasts the longest footboard and seat in the 100-125cc segment, both of which have a traditional leather texture. Due to the seat's height, the scooter is suitable for both short and tall riders. The scooter has a 160 mm clearance from the ground. While the variants with alloy wheels have a kerb weight of 103 kg, the versions with steel wheels weigh exactly 104 kg. The 5-liter gasoline tank on the gearless scooter has a 5-liter capacity.

Summary

Engine Performance and Mileage 9

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 is powered by a 124 cc engine with a maximum output of 8.5 horsepower. With a CVT transmission, this engine can produce a maximum torque of 10 Nm. The motor's level of refinement is exceptional overall, and its power delivery is enough for city driving. Overall, this scooter's 124 cc engine provides a fair amount of power while also breaking new ground in terms of robustness and smoothness. Fuel injection technology has made this scooter cleaner and more efficient.

The Access 125 has a smooth and rapid acceleration to a top speed of 65 kilometres per hour. Even when moving at 70 to 75 kph, the engine is quiet. The vehicle has a respectable 50 km/l fuel efficiency rating. Since it improves both fuel efficiency and power delivery, fuel injection technology is essential in this situation. The scooter effectively navigates challenging terrain thanks to its strong suspension system. There is hardly any movement on the floorboard, handle, or footpeg. Overall, the BS6-compliant Suzuki Access 125 provides superior comfort and ride quality.

The Suzuki Access BS6's suspension configuration is the same as the BS4-model because this scooter continues to provide a very comfortable ride. Even when riding on poor road portions, the telescopic front suspension and swing-arm type rear suspension give stability and comfort.

A front disc brake, renowned for its exceptional feedback and bite, is also provided by the access. The drum brake on the back wheel also performs admirably. The Combined Braking System is also included with the scooter (CBS). The scooter will stop or slow down automatically with the help of the CBS system while the rear drum brake is engaged. This guarantees effective braking and helps the cyclist stop suddenly.

Tubeless tyres are installed on the front and rear of the Access 125. The size of the front tyre is 90/90-12, while the size of the rear tyre is 90/100-10. These tyres should ensure adequate grip on rough parts of the road and offer strong resistance to aquaplaning. The Suzuki Access 125 has a number of features that make it a VFM product in its class. Along with enhanced fuel injection technology, eco-assist lighting, a brand-new LED headlight, and a host of other features, the scooter is also fitted with an external gasoline intake and a USB connector for charging smartphones.   I've been riding a Suzuki Swish since 2013, and though I use it occasionally, I've clocked around 25,000 km. It’s quite similar to the Suzuki Access and performs well as a daily or occasional commuter. I’ve used it extensively in both Mumbai and Bangalore—two cities known for their crowded and chaotic traffic. In such conditions, fuel efficiency takes a backseat; what matters more is manoeuvrability, comfort, and reliability—and the Swish delivers on all three. The seat is comfortable during long waits in traffic, and the engine stays stable even during heavy rains, which is crucial in city conditions. **Where it falls short, unfortunately, is after-sales service.** My experience with Suzuki's authorized service centers has been poor. They seem more focused on billing than actual service quality. For instance, after one service, the scooter wouldn't even start at the service center itself. There have also been persistent issues with the front wheel that were never resolved despite multiple visits. Worse still, attempts to raise these concerns via Suzuki's official social media channels received no response. Overall, the Suzuki Swish is a good scooter, but I strongly recommend checking reviews of your local service center before making a purchase. The product is solid, but poor service can ruin the ownership experience.
