TVS Jupiter Detailed Review
Jupiter Looks and Colour Options
For its elegant and graceful design language, the TVS Jupiter is still a popular scooter on the market. It is a good thing that it doesn't have too many fancy features and just appears like a regular scooter because it is intended for a general audience. While the base model of the TVS Jupiter in India comes with steel wheels and a standard halogen headlight, the top-spec variations come with a tonne of extra goodies. The TVS Jupiter comes with an all-LED headlight that provides decent lighting in the mid-spec ZX version. The scooter's ZX version also has chrome-plated rear-view mirrors and five-spoke blacked-out alloy wheels. This gearless scooter includes several luxury inserts that have been added by the business.
For example, the seat is a dual-tone brown colour and feels extremely upscale. Additionally, this scooter's body panels have a light brown finish to them, giving it a more expensive appearance. The top-spec Classic version of the TVS Jupiter also comes with extras like a short clear glass visor, appealing graphics on the body panels, and a more upscale seat with a lovely textured surface. A comfortable backrest for the passenger is also included in the scooter's top-spec model. There are presently 15 distinct colour options for the new TVS Jupiter BS6. They are - Walnut Brown, Midnight Black, Pristine White, Titanium Grey, Matte Blue, Volcano Red, Indiblue, Autumn Brown, Sunlit Ivory, Royal Wine, Starlight Blue, Metallic Silver, Titanium Grey, Starlight Blue and Royal Wine.
The brand-new TVS Jupiter is 1834 mm long, 678 mm wide, and 1286 mm tall. The scooter's seat height is listed as 765 mm and its wheelbase is 1275 mm. The TVS Jupiter is a relatively accessible gearless scooter for both short and tall riders, with a seat height of 765 mm. Compared to its competitors, the scooter's 150 mm ground clearance is rather low, yet it nevertheless does the job reasonably well. The new TVS Jupiter BS6 is a gearless scooter with a kerb weight of 109 kg and a fuel tank size of 5.0 litres. The TVS Jupiter has the largest wheelbase and is the longest scooter in its class.
Summary
The new TVS Jupiter BS6 is a handsome-looking scooter and its top-spec variants get a lot of additional goodies which lend it a premium appeal. The scooter is also available in multiple colour shades.
Jupiter Engine Performance and Mileage
The 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the new TVS Jupiter complies with BS6, and it also has TVS' EcoThrust Fuel-injection (ET-Fi) technology. A CVT is pre-installed with the engine. The engine produces 7.7 bhp of power and 8.8 Nm of peak torque. The BS6 update improved the TVS Jupiter, which has always been a respectable scooter. This gearless scooter delivers good performance for city commuting and has excellent initial pick-up. You won't notice many vibrations because the BS6 motor is so tuned. While riding at low speeds, the scooter does seem a little rough, but as you get up speed, it gets much better. The TVS Jupiter performs well in the low- to mid-range.
One cannot expect a good top-end punch from these 110cc scooters and the same stands true for the TVS Jupiter too. The scooter has a top speed of around 85 kmph but it takes a lot of time to cross the 70 kmph mark and since it is a gearless scooter, it isn’t very safe too to ride it at such speeds. The TVS Jupiter has always been a fuel-efficient scooter and thanks to the new ET-Fi technology, it now offers better fuel economy than before. The TVS Jupiter BS6 delivers around 45-55 kmpl of mileage in real-world riding conditions. It is also a very reliable scooter.
Summary
The TVS Jupiter offers good performance with a great pick-up. The scooter is also quite fuel-efficient and it delivers around 45-55 kmpl of mileage in real-world riding conditions.
Jupiter Tyres, Brakes and Features
The foundation of the TVS Jupiter is an underbone-style structure with exceptional stiffness. The scooter has telescopic forks at the front that handle suspension responsibilities, and a 3-step adjustable type coil spring with a hydraulic damper at the back. The TVS Jupiter provides a calm and comfortable ride. Speed limits or damaged sections of road are easily crossed by it. The TVS Jupiter BS6 has a 130 mm drum brake at the rear and a 130 mm drum or a 130 mm disc brake at the front for braking purposes.
As an added safety feature, it also receives TVS' Synchronised Braking System, or SBT. The SBT from TVS serves the same purpose as the CBS from Honda. In order to stop the scooter more quickly and with less distance travelled, it even slightly applies the front brake when the rear brake is applied. The scooter has tubeless 12-inch tyres. The TVS Jupiter's two tyres are the same size, measuring 90/90-12. The TVS Jupiter has a tonne of features as well. While its top variations have a fancier analogue instrument cluster with Eco and Power indicators, etc., the lower variants just get a basic analogue cluster.
Summary
The TVS Jupiter is a 110cc gearless scooter. It packs in decent hardware, offers good ride quality but the braking performance could have been better. The TVS Jupiter is quite feature-loaded and it has an analogue instrument cluster with all basic trip-related information.

TVS Jupiter Scooter Owner Reviews
- Single key for all is not a good idea as the key is very difficult to turn left in off position to open the seat. You have to struggle a lot to get it right. The lock is likely to get damaged fast and it needs to replace the lock set.

- very bad engine quality very poor very noisey engine
- I would say it is a city's bike, comfort while driving, easy going, family bike.
