TVS Jupiter Dual-tone Spectral Range Launched; Price Starts At Rs. 89,825 (Ex-sh)

TVS Motor Company has rolled out a new dual-tone spectral colour range for its popular 110cc family scooter, the TVS Jupiter. Priced at Rs. 89,825 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the updated Jupiter brings a fresh set of colour options along with a handful of styling, comfort and convenience upgrades, while keeping its mechanical underpinnings unchanged. Read on to know all that's different on the Jupiter's Spectral range.

What's New

The biggest talking point with this update is the introduction of two new dual-tone shades - Spectral Blue and Spectral Copper. TVS says these colours use what it calls "Spectral Colour Technology," a finish designed to shift and shimmer under different lighting conditions rather than appear as a flat, single-tone paint job. According to the company, this makes the Jupiter the first scooter in the 110cc segment to get this kind of dual-tone spectral treatment, giving it a more premium and distinctive look on the road compared to rivals in the same category.

To go with the new paint options, TVS has also given the Jupiter colour-matched inner body panels, a redesigned seat cover, and mirrors finished in partial chrome. Together, these tweaks are aimed at making the scooter look a notch more upmarket without altering its core silhouette.

Segment-First Sequential Turn Indicators

Beyond the cosmetic changes, TVS has equipped this variant with Sequential Turn Signal Lamps - indicators that light up in a sweeping, sequential pattern rather than blinking on and off all at once. TVS is positioning this as another segment-first for the Jupiter, adding both a visual flourish and, in theory, better visibility for other road users when the rider signals a turn.

Comfort and Practicality Upgrades

TVS has also worked on rider and pillion comfort with this update. The scooter now gets a longer, cushioned seat with a built-in backrest, intended to make longer rides more comfortable for both occupants. Storage remains one of the Jupiter's strong points - TVS continues to claim a 33-litre under-seat boot, said to be large enough to hold two full-face helmets, which the company markets as best-in-class for the segment.

On the charging front, the scooter now includes a USB Type-C port, replacing the need for older, slower charging standards and making it easier to top up a phone on the go. This sits alongside the Jupiter's existing SmartXonnect connected features, which cover turn-by-turn navigation prompts and alerts for incoming calls and messages routed through a paired smartphone.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, there's no change here - the new dual-tone spectral range continues to use the same 113.3cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the rest of the Jupiter lineup. TVS quotes outputs of 5.9 kW and 9.8 Nm of torque, aided by the brand's iGO Assist system, which is tuned to improve off-the-line response and everyday fuel efficiency rather than outright top speed.

Pricing and Availability

The TVS Jupiter dual-tone spectral range is priced at Rs. 89,825 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be available at TVS dealerships across the country shortly. Given that the Jupiter has been one of the best-selling scooters in India for over a decade, this update is clearly aimed at keeping it visually competitive against newer rivals, while its core value proposition, practicality, storage space, and running costs stay largely the same.
