Hero Xtreme 2013-2014 Mileage Tips

Air pressure vs Fuel economy

Keeping your car's tyre pressure at the recommended level improves fuel economy by up to 5%. Underinflated tyres create drag, causing the engine to work harder. Check air pressure every two weeks and before long trips. Slightly higher pressure (by 1-2 PSI) for highway drives can further boost mileage.

Reliable, Comfortable Everyday Bike

I’ve been riding the Hero Xtreme 2014 for quite some time now, and overall it’s been a reliable and comfortable bike. The seating posture is upright, so even on long rides I don’t feel much back pain or strain. On highways the bike feels stable, especially till 80–90 kmph. After that, some vibrations start to come in, but for normal cruising it’s smooth enough.

Durable but Parts Unavailable

Nice bike with great pickup—very happy after 10 years of usage. However, maintenance and the unavailability of parts make it difficult to keep it running for longer periods. The mileage is around 40–45 km per litre.
