Latest Update on 16th June'25: Keeway XDV 125 EVO is an upcoming premium adventure maxi scooter, an innovative and fresh segment for Indian customers. This scooter features a bold and aggressive design, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea; however, the technology and features will make up for it. Upon launch, it will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SR 160, despite featuring a 125cc engine, because it will cost around Rs 1.50 lakh or above.

Design - Glancing at its photos, the first thought that comes to mind is its aggressive, modern design, which reflects how far scooters have come - from simple designs to dynamic ones - catering to a very specific audience that desires a multi-purpose scooter. The front end features a dual-stack LED light setup, a transparent wind deflector, and 14-inch wheels equipped with an ABS system. Talking about the side profile, it has a proper maxi-scooter design with a raised body that offers high ground clearance, making it ready for off-road use. Also, the seat height is 870 mm and single long seat with a slight hump at its rear section. The rear section has a long grab handle that also provides space to tie a mid-sized bag. Lastly, the dual rear shock absorbers and 13-inch wheels with ABS give it a distinctly athletic vibe.

Features - This premium scooter will feature all-LED projector headlights along with LED blinkers. It will come equipped with switchable ABS and traction control. Additionally, it gets a 7-inch TFT display that shows all the necessary information, a Type-A charging port, and an adjustable windshield. While the OEM does not mention dual-channel ABS, we know it comes with dual disc brakes, so it's most likely to get one. The tail-light is also LED. So, from a features point of view, it is going to be a well-rounded package.

Powertrain - The XDV 125 EVO is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that produces 12.0 hp and 11.8 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. With a kerb weight of 145 kg, it offers a power-to-weight ratio of 0.0828 hp/kg. Given its off-road-oriented and long-distance touring design, we can expect it to deliver peppy and engaging performance.

Price - As per several news reports and considering the overall package on offer, the XDV 125 EVO is expected to launch at a starting price of around Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Since Keeway products are not manufactured in India and are sold here via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, this estimated pricing is purely speculative. Its key rivals will include the Yamaha Aerox, Aprilia SR 160, and the upcoming Honda ADV 160.

If Keeway launch these kind of scooters with affordable price tag then their will be a big market opens up for them. We Indians dreaming for a true Maxi scooter for more than a decade from 2014 auto expo and hoping for lunching from the big players. But unfortunately they have no confidence in Indian Market. They should have made this with 150-155 cc engine then it would've been better, as the scooter comes under adventure segment so it needs at-least that much of big engine, and the price after the changes should not be more than 2 lakhs.
