Honda CB200X 2021-2025 Detailed Review
In our market, the Honda CB 200X is an adventure-style touring motorbike. The midsection to the tail portion of the 2021 Honda CB 200X resembles that of the 2020 Hornet 2.0 to some extent because they both have the same foundations. The new fairing, which has fake radiator guards and holds the same LED headlamp as the bare on which it is based, is now prominently shown up front. The sizeable windscreen seems practical and will be handy when travelling on roads.
The CB20X's higher handlebars contribute to its upright riding stance. Although the plastic knuckles are a welcome feature, the Hornet's inbuilt winkers are immediately removed. The 200X does have a premium feel, but it has more to do with shape than functionality. The CB 200X's Diamond type frame type features the same Showa upside-down front suspension with the same travel length. When travelling at high speeds on uneven tarmacs, the 200X becomes quite twitchy due to this key component that was ignored. The X-shaped taillight with the swept-up exhaust pipe is precisely the same, as is the pre-load adjustable mono-shock suspension in the back.
Summary
The Honda CB200X looks like a mini-me Africa Twin, especially in a shade of red. Much of this is owing to the neatly integrated quarter fairing that gives the Hornet-based motorcycle a distinct identity.
CB200X 2021-2025 body specifications:
| Ground Clearance | 167 mm |
The Honda 200X is unquestionably a larger motorcycle than the Hornet 2.0, though. However, although having a lower length (2035 mm), the 200X is wider (843 mm) and higher (1248 mm) than the Hornet. The weight of the 200X is 147 kg with the addition of the front fairing design. The CB 200X maintains the same 12-liter fuel tank and 167 mm of ground clearance while being an ADV-styled bike. The CB 200X is appropriate for the majority of Indian riders since it has 810 mm of seat height and significantly more cushion in the seats.
Summary
The dimensions of the CB 200X give it a comfortable upright riding position. Its shorter length also makes it compact to ride, and the wide handlebars are made for a relaxed arm resting posture as well.

The 184.4 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the new Honda CB 200X is BS6 compliant, and it comes in the same level of tune as the Hornet 2.0. The engine nonetheless generates the same 15.5 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm and 16.3 horsepower at 8500 rpm, which is a little less power. The 5-speed manual transmission's performance is the same because there are no modifications to it. The engine is enthusiastic and seems eager, but because it is carrying 5 kg additional weight, acceleration times will be slower. The CB 200X feels at home when riding in the city and can easily go past slow-moving traffic with a flip of a gear as you ride.
The engine does feel refined and smooth for the most part. It’s only when the rev starts climbing above 6000 rpm, do the vibrations start to creep in. Yet, the Honda CB 200X can easily sustain cruising speeds of 80-85 kmph, but if you start asking for more, there is very little performance to seek beyond 7500 rpm.
In addition, the engine gets Honda’s programmed fuel injection technology which uses 8-sensors on board to constantly monitor the optimum fuel and air mixture for better performance and efficiency figures. Besides, with the 12-liter fuel tank, the CNB 200X has the same mileage rate of 57.35 kmpl in city, and a respectable 55.77 kmpl on the highway, similar to the Hornet 2.0.
Summary
The CB 200X gets a peppy engine that feels and eager to leave behind slow traffic. Its fuel efficiency figures are equally commendable as well. But had it had a bit more power and torque, it would have cut out as a proper ADV. Instead, it turns out to be the perfect city commuter.
CB200X 2021-2025 engine specifications:
| Transmission | Manual |
| Mileage | 43-57.35 |
| Engine | 184.4 cc |
The 17-inch alloy wheels that the CB 200X rides on now have dual-purpose tyres on them. The 276 mm disc up front with a two-piston Nissin calliper and the 220 mm disc with a single-piston calliper are responsible for stopping the vehicle. A danger switch and single-channel ABS are both options. The new CB200X is designed for customers who ride primarily in cities yet occasionally wish to travel.
In addition to the contemporary all-LED unit, the CB 200X has a negatively lighted LCD dash that shows only a limited amount of information because it lacks a range or distance-to-empty indication. The 200X does not have a USB charger, but other than that, not much is lacking from the 200X.

Summary
The brakes on the CB 200X have a similar performance as seen on the Hornet. Its feature list feels basic, especially with the price bump it comes with. And by doing so, the CB 200X sways away from being a proper ADV.
