Lotus Evija Latest Update
Last Updated On 3rd Feb'25: The Lotus Evija is a limited-production electric hypercar currently in its testing phase. When launched internationally, it will become the flagship car for Lotus and is expected to be priced around Rs 40 Cr.
Design: The design of the Evija replicates what we dream a hypercar should look like: long, wide, and extremely aggressive. From the front, it resembles a bigger brother of the Lotus Emira, but as you glance at its rear, things change drastically. A colossal spoiler with huge air intakes connects to each door fender. This is not only for its striking appearance but also to keep the car grounded. Additionally, since the car is still in its production phase, the styling may change by the time the Evija is fully ready.
Powertrain: Lotus says that four electric motors are placed at each axle, generating a combined output of 1,972 horsepower and 1,254 lb-ft of torque. The top speed is set at 200 mph (321 km/h), and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds.
Charging: It takes just 12 minutes to go from 0 to 80% and another 18 minutes to fully charge, and its range is around 400 km.
Price: There's no official confirmation yet on whether this hypercar will make its way to India, but if it does, you can expect a price tag of nothing less than Rs 40 crores. With its elite performance and limited production, it’s likely to come with a premium price.
