      Review for Hyundai Creta

      Our perfect SUV

If you want a feature loaded SUV and have deeper pockets, the new Creta is the best of the lot. We have the older version but I drove my neighbours 2020 model and was really impressed. I think Hyundai has worked on all parameters and taken the segment by fire. The only shortcoming is the smaller diesel engine. If you spent some more money, the 170 bhp engine of the Harrier is in a different league all together. Otherwise, the petrol automatic is my pick and this is what my neighbour bought. To add, something that I didnt know till now is the variable warranty. If your usage is less, you can get 5 year warranty and vice versa. Good job Hyundai!

      Review for Hyundai Creta

Our first big car - happy so far

We brought home the petrol Creta in October 2015, after a few months of its launch. We had a budget of Rs 8 lakh but stretched it as the vehicle seemed big enough and the petrol 1.6 was in our budget. In the past five years, we have crossed over 55,000km. I like maintaining a log of expenses and the fuel economy has been always been over 11 kmpl. This is a manual model. For routine service, the bills have usually been under Rs 8000 and no major part changed has been required apart from wiper blades, brake pads and one indicator bulb. I am still using the stock tyres and happy with the Creta’s performance and usability. One thing that has bothered us is the suspension that becomes soft when doing long trips with five adults and luggage. As a driver, I need to be careful of high speed manners on occasions like this. However, when I drove the recent model at workshop when I had gone for servicing, I was told this problem is not there anymore. That is a good sign of listening to feedback. Keep it up!

      Review for Skoda Kushaq

Review after driving 250 kms - Kushaq is nice to drive and will feel modern and robust. - Overall driving dynamics, ride, steering controls and sharp turn handling is class-leading. Feels too safe and pleasure to drive. - All important security features that we use and are mandatory for safe driving dynamics at 18 lac on-road makes it the best choice. - Unique 2-spoke steering wheel (from Superb, Octavia) - Kushaq though has 385ltr capacity can easily fit the same baggage as Creta/Seltos (claim 400+ ltrs.) - Carbon Steel paint finish looks very nice, upmarket and premium. - 6-speaker audio system is surprisingly crisp and great sound with subwoofer. Negatives: - The steering feels a bit too light even at high speeds and could've weighed up better for more responsive feel though controlling it is precise. - Rear disk break. - Digital instrument cluster. - No 6 air bags other than 1.0 MT - this is illogical and stupidity. - Yes, priced 50k to 70k on the higher side - but performance, safety features (even in base models) and the driving experience of both 1.0 and 1.5-litre TSI variants somewhat justifies the price. I highly recommend Skoda Kushaq for those looking for premium small and powerful compact SUV for its clean design, driving dynamics, safety features and the Skoda brand and cannot afford VW T-Roc
