KIA India started their journey in the Indian market by launching its mid-size SUV, the Seltos in 2019. The brand has received a positive response from the market and in 2023 KIA has updated its top-selling SUV with a new facelift.

Top 5 Features That KIA Seltos Offer

1. Panoramic Sunroof

KIA Seltos facelift comes with a huge panoramic sunroof which enhances the interior ambiance. The panoramic sunroof in the Seltos can be operated using voice command and supports multiple languages. The quality of the roof feels premium and the sunroof cover is made up of good material

Variants Available: Kia India offers the panoramic sunroof starting from the HTK (O) variant, which comes at a starting price of Rs 13.04 lakh (ex-showroom).

Competition Check: The Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun offer a conventional single-pane sunroof, while the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara offer a panoramic sunroof, and the Honda Elevate does not offer either of them.

2. 10.25-inch Connected Display For Infotainment & Instrument Cluster

The facelift of the Seltos brings an all-new connected dual-display setup. The Seltos now comes with a new 10.25-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Both screens are connected to give a sleek look to the dashboard. The infotainment screen supports wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and boasts a new UI.

Variants Available: The 10.25-inch HD connected screen is available from the HTX (O) variant onwards, which can be had from Rs 16.76 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Competition Check: The Hyundai Creta is the only other car in this segment to offer a connected HD touch screen, while other cars such as the Honda Elevate and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara offer a separate infotainment unit.

3. Dual-Zone Climate Control

Another major highlight of the new Kia Seltos is the dual-zone climate control. For the enhanced comfort and convenience of the customers, the brand has provided automatic dual-zone climate control, enabling drivers and passengers to set temperatures as per their preferences.

Variants Available: To make sure that most of the customers can take benefit of dual-zone climate control, the brand has given this feature starting from the mid-spec HTX variant which is priced at Rs 15.81 lakh (ex-showroom).

Competition Check: The Hyundai Creta is the only rival of the Seltos in the segment which comes with dual-zone climate control, while the others offer a conventional automatic climate control system.

4. Level 2 ADAS

With the launch of the Seltos facelift last year, Kia has added enhanced safety features to the SUV. The Kia Seltos now comes with a Level 2 ADAS suite with 19 ADAS features including Lane Keep Assist, Front Collision Warning, and Blind View Collision Warning, among other features.

Variants Available: The Level 2 ADAS suite is available in the GTX+ trim level and X-Line variants of the Seltos. The GTX+ variant begins from Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Competition Check: While the Hyundai Creta and the MG Astor offer a level 2 ADAS suite, the Honda Elevate comes with a level 1 suite.

5. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

The Seltos offers a proper tyre pressure monitoring system, which essentially means that it shows the tyre pressure on all four ends. This is a useful feature to have to ensure your tyres are in optimal shape, to enhance their life, and to ensure your car delivers decent mileage as well.

Variants Available: The Seltos offers a tyre pressure monitoring system across all variants in the lineup.

Competition Check: The Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq offer a tyre pressure warning, while the Hyundai Creta offers a proper TPMS on all four ends.

6. Rear Seat Sunblinds

The Seltos is among the few mid-size SUVs in its category to offer rear window sun blinds, which not only prove to be a useful feature for privacy reasons, but they also give the car a more premium appeal, giving it the feel of a car that belongs to higher segments.

Variants Available: The Kia Seltos offers rear sun blinds from the HTE (O) variant onwrds, which is the base variant, and it is priced at Rs 11.18 lakh (ex-showroom).

Competitor Check: The Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are among the rivals that also offer this feature.

Features Missing On The Kia Seltos

Wireless Smartphone Connectivity: The Seltos strangely misses out on wireless connectivity with the larger 10.25-inch HD infotainment system, which is a huge miss considering that rivals like the Volkswagen Taigun and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara get it.

KIA Seltos enjoys a good reputation in the India mid-size SUV segment. The facelift has added a plethora of new features in the Seltos lineup and the brand has recently added new variants to allure more customers.
