Tata Motors has launched the next-generation Tiago.ev in India, with prices starting from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated electric hatchback now brings several upgrades, especially in terms of technology, connected features and everyday convenience. Moreover, it comes with multiple segment-first features that are usually limited to the higher segments. Infotainment System and Digital Driver Display

The next-generation Tiago.ev comes equipped with a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system paired with a fully digital driver display. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing seamless smartphone connectivity without requiring cables. Apart from that it also shows charging information, connected car functions and vehicle-related data. The fully digital driver display further enhances the cabin experience by presenting EV-specific information in a more modern layout and it also supports Bluetooth Connectivity.
Rival With Similar Feature: The MG Comet EV offers 10.25-inch infotainment system and Digital Driver display with the top trim. On the other hand, Citroen eC3 gets a comparatively simpler 10.24-inch infotainment setup with fewer connected features.
Variant: The larger touchscreen infotainment system is offered with the higher Creative+ 24 variant of the Tiago.ev.
360-degree Camera and Blind View Monitor

One of the biggest highlights of the Tiago.ev is the inclusion of a 360-degree Surround View System along with a Blind View Monitor. Tata claims both are segment-first features in this category. The 360-degree camera provides multiple 2D and 3D viewing angles, significantly improving visibility while parking or driving through tight spaces. Meanwhile, the Blind View Monitor displays blind spot visuals during lane changes, improving overall driving confidence and safety.
Rival With Similar Feature: The MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3 offer rear parking cameras, but neither currently provides a 360-degree camera or Blind View Monitor setup.
Variant: The 360-degree camera and Blind View Monitor are available in the Creative+ 24 variants.
Tata Tiago.ev: iRA.ev Technology

The Tiago.ev comes equipped with Tatas iRA.ev connected car technology, offering more than 40 connected features. Some of the key functions include real-time charging status, remote vehicle operations, geo-fencing, valet mode, charging station locator and remote diagnostics. The system also supports smartwatch connectivity, allowing users to access functions like lock/unlock, remote horn, lights and cabin pre-cooling directly from their smartwatch or smartphone application.
Additionally, the connected suite can send alerts related to charging interruption, seatbelt reminders, route deviation and door-open notifications, making the ownership experience feel more advanced and connected.
Rival With Similar Feature: The Citroen eC3 comes equipped with the MyCitroen Connect app featuring over 35 smart connected functions.
Variant: The iRA.ev connected technology is available from Smart Variant.
All LED Lighting Setup

The Tiago.ev comes equipped with a full LED lighting setup, helping the hatchback deliver a more premium and futuristic appearance. At the front, it gets Lux Beam LED headlamps along with LED DRLs, while the rear receives connected Halo Lightbar LED tail lamps. Besides improving the overall road presence, the LED setup also enhances visibility and gives the Tiago.ev a more modern EV identity.

Wireless Charging and Convenience Features

The Tiago.ev also focuses heavily on everyday convenience features. The hatchback comes with a dual smartphone deck along with wireless smartphone charging support. Tata has additionally equipped the car with ZipFast 65W Type-C charging ports, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents and passive entry with push-button start.
These additions collectively improve practicality and make the cabin experience feel more premium than what is usually expected from an affordable electric hatchback.

Verdict
The next-generation Tiago.ev feels significantly more advanced and feature-loaded than before. Instead of focusing only on styling updates, Tata has concentrated heavily on technology, connected features and everyday usability.
