The TVS Ntorq is known to be one of the most popular 125cc scooters in India, and not too long ago, we did something interesting with it. We made it to the India Book Of Records yet again, this time with not one, but two endurance records; the fastest 1000km in under 24 hours and the maximum distance covered in 24 hours on a scooter in India.
How did we do it? What were the routes? How did the scooter hold up? We shall answer all this and more, but first make sure to join the 91wheels WhatsApp Community to keep up with the latest news and updates from the automotive space.

TVS Ntorq 125 Creates Two New India Book Of Records; Details!

Our plan was simple; divide ourselves among three teams with one rider each, take the TVS Ntorq 125 and ride it on the following expressways; the Taj-Yamuna Expressway, and then onto the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, which was once the longest expressway in the country. We began our journey from Noida at 10:00PM, and headed towards Agra via the Noida-Agra Expressway.

Once on the expressway, the Ntorq ran consistently between 80-85kmph, and it didn't take us too long to check off our first few landmarks. The first 100km were covered in just 1 hour and 23 minutes. Post that, we stopped to refuel the scooter, and it did not take us too long to reach the outskirts of Agra city, while also ticking off the 200km landmark in just 2 hours and 48 minutes, with the clock currently showing a time of 12:48 AM.

It is important to note that two-wheelers are allowed on the Noida-Agra Expressway at night, while the Agra-Lucknow Expressway allows two-wheelers after 6:00AM. This is why we took a U-turn back to Noida, after reaching the outskirts of Agra. Even though the summer season was at its peak during the months of May and June, the Ntorq just kept on running without a hitch, barrelling down the highway with speeds above 90kmph.
At 3:00 AM, we swapped riders for the second time, and carried on with the task at hand, and soon enough, we breached the 500km landmark in about 7 hours and 35 minutes. The sun also showed us its first glimpses at 5:30 AM, and we were not too far from the outskirts of Agra, post which we would soon begin our journey down the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. On crossing the Agra Ring Road toll, we swapped riders again, and then carried on to the next leg.

The Agra-Lucknow Expressway is over 300km long, and this is where the Ntorq was going to prove its mettle for the next few hours. The 1000km landmark was in sight, and the Ntorq showed no signs of slowing down, even as we stopped for refueling and rider changes along the way. At 12:55 AM, the 1000km landmark was breached in just under 15 hours. This is something scooters are not generally known to do in one stretch, and yet the Ntorq remained ready as ever.

With the 1000km landmark ticked off, our eyes were now set on the 24 hour landmark. The endurance run now also had a sense of adventure to it, with the rain Gods deciding to intervene. Yet, the Ntorq was determined, so were we, and we carried on.

Not long afterwards, it was 5:30PM on the clock. It was time for us to leave the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and back to the Noida-Agra Expressway. It was now upto the final team to take the Ntorq through the final landmark and cover as many kilometres possible before the end of this endurance run. The sun set, and soon enough it was dark once again. The Ntorq's LED headlamp is bright enough and offers great visibility, enabling us to carry on with confidence.

The 1500km landmark was breached easily enough in just under 22 hours and 20 minutes. We still had another 1.4 hours left, in which we covered another 118km, thus adding to a total of 1617.9km covered in 24 hours. Save for fuel stops and rider swaps, the Ntorq simply refused to give up, and it just carried on with the endurance run without a hitch, thus giving confidence to all three teams on duty.
Verdict
The TVS Ntorq was always a capable scooter, and this endurance run only proved the point further. The Ntorq showcased what kind of kind of performance and handling it comes with, and it also showed the kind of stresses it is ready to take on.
