With multiple OEMs gaining pace to keep up in the race of electric mobility, startups have never lagged behind. Recently, Automovill Technologies, an electric mobility startup, has partnered with Midgard Electric to install EV chargers across the country. While setting up a charging station, apart from just electricity and the equipment, there is much more at the backend than we think of!
Under this joint venture, Midgard Electric's charging infra service will be used at almost five hundred Automovill charging points in the country. Automoville currently operates with a confined network of seventy co-owned workstations and more than five hundred partnered stations. Midgard Electric is a leading service provider in electric mobility as they offer exclusive services like EV charging stations, battery swapping stations, electric mobility consultation, EV maintenance and monitoring, and commercial EV fleet management systems.

With these advanced technologies, Automovill has expanded its network and covers a variety of cities and towns situated in 14 states. This joint venture's main idea is to unify the Electric two-wheeler and four-wheeler charging infrastructure by connecting people to the appropriate destinations. This way, people would feel less sceptical while stepping out of their homes with an electric vehicle.
Under the initial phase of this joint venture with Midgard, Automovill targets to expand its network to around 500 charging stations in big cities and commercial centres like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Guwahati, Ranchi, Patna and Kolkata to cater to the rising demand. The types of charging equipment under this joint venture would fall under the category of Level 1 charging stations which would meet Bharat AC 001 and DC 001 requirements. As per these certifications, these charging stations would be ideal for charging electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers.
