
Just recently we broke you the news that Mercedes will start manufacturing their AMG models in India. This will not only lower down the costs but also will be accessible for a wide variety of buyers. The first model AMG model by Mercedes will be the GLC 43 Coupe which sets its launch date for November 3, 2020.

Under the hood, things remain unchanged except for the power figures. It retains the 3.0-litre, turbocharged petrol V6 motor which now makes 387 bhp. Earlier, the figure stood at 365 bhp only. The peak torque remains the same at 520 Nm.

This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and it gets a 4Matic system which is an all-wheel-drive setup. However, 69% of the power is sent to the rear wheels to exert the maximum output.
Performance-wise, the 0-100 km/h acceleration of this new Mercedes GLC 43 AMG Coupe stands at 4.9 seconds while the top speed is electronically at 250 km/h only. We wonder if it'll see its top speed ever on the Indian roads. Maybe the BIC that is the Buddh Internation Circuit which is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Cosmetically, this performance-oriented SUV differs itself from the normal GLC. It gets an AMG specced grille, with chrome finish. Then the redesigned bumper which is the final part for the front profile. At the rear, you will get quad piped exhausts, diffuser in the car and the sporty spoiler which enhances the final look of the SUV. Mercedes is also giving the option to choose from 19-21 inch of different alloy wheels.

Since this is an AMG specced model, it will get those sporty seats as standard. You will also get black Artico leather/Dinamica microfiber with red topstitching. It gets aluminium finished paddle shifters and is available with the latest MBUX infotainment system. It also gets five drive modes - Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
With the local assembly of the GLC 43 AMG Coupe, it is expected to see a price tag of Rs 80 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Its closest rival is the Porsche Macan S which is priced higher than the expected price of Mercedes GLC 43 AMG Coupe.
