The Coronavirus outbreak is affecting all the industries around the world and even the automobile industry is seriously hit. The virus can survive on any surface for hours and can transmit to the person who touches it the next. MG Motor has announced that it will disinfect all the cars before it reaches the customer and we appreciate this effort. This new effort is called ‘disinfect and deliver’.
The manufacturer has started the ‘Disinfect and Deliver’ initiative that will ensure that the customers get their vehicles germ-free! All the cars by MG Motor, including the test drive ones, will be thoroughly swabbed with disinfectant. The cars will then get delivered to the customer’s home so that they do not have to get out to complete the formalities. MG Motor has also announced that they are taking all the preventive measures at the dealerships to ensure that they stay healthy and fit.
Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor India said,
“At MG Motor India, it’s a human thing to look out for each other. As a responsible organisation, we are committed towards the safety and health of our customers, dealer partners, dealer staff and employees. In times like these, ensuring the well-being of people that we care about becomes paramount. Safety being our topmost priority, through the Disinfect and Deliver Program our focus is to sanitise throughout the value chain. Thus, we will have limited staff to support essential and emergency services during this period. We regret any inconvenience caused to our customers in advance. However, we will try our level best to satisfy our customers as always.â€
We had carried a similar video sometime back, explaining the precautions one must take if he or she needs to drive a car in this tough time period. Although we do recommend work from home, if you have to get on to the road, watch our video below
MG Motor currently offers two cars in the Indian market. There is the Hector, which was launched last year and their first and only electric SUV, the ZS EV. Both the vehicles are sold through various dealerships across India.
MG Motors also have a solid line-up of cars that will be launched in the Indian market in the coming months. The manufacturer showcased the all-new MG Hector Plus at the 2020 Auto Expo, which is a six-seater version of the Hector. The brand will also launch the Gloster later this year, which will take on the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
