One of the most affordable and sporty motorbikes, Yamaha R15 V3.0 now gets a new red metallic paint shade and the price for the same starts at Rs 1.52 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. This paint scheme was teased a while back and has now been finally launched.
One can also choose from the other colour palette which includes Thunder Grey, Racing Blue and Darknight. It continues with the identical 155cc liquid-cooled engine which churns out 18.37 bhp at 10,000 RPM with a peak torque of 14.1 Nm at 8500 RPM. This unit is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
You also get a dual-channel ABS and the front brakes are 282 mm disc while the rear sits at 220 mm disc. It also gets 17-inches alloys and they measure 100/80 at the front while the rear sticks to 140/70. Suspension-wise, the front gets telescopic at the front while swingarm link suspension is handled at the rear.

Design-wise, the R15 receives blacked-out treatment above the headlight area for that sportier look while the fuel tank, fairing and rear cowls are finished in the new metallic shade. All three of them also gets a contrast of black highlights to create that meaner look.
Feature-wise, the R15 V3 continues to impress with the assist and slipper clutch, LED headlights, dual-channel ABS, fully digital instrument cluster, side stand engine cut-off and variable valve actuation.

The R15 gives fair competition to Suzuki Gixxer SF, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and KTM RC 125. It is one of the most affordable 150cc segment sports bike out there and the sales for the same have been impressive for most parts of the year.
