Yamaha Overview

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. is a renowned Japanese mobility manufacturer that specializes in the production of motorcycles, motorboats, outboard motors, and various other motorized products. The company was established in 1955 following its separation from Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd. (now Yamaha Corporation) and is headquartered in Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan. Yamaha's extensive product portfolio encompasses motorcycles, scooters, motorized bicycles, watercraft, sailboats, personal watercraft, recreational vehicles, and more. While it had a global presence, its Indian run has been nothing short of iconic.
Yamaha Motor embarked on its Indian journey in 1985 through a joint venture and gave a lot of bikes that had a cult status at that time. From RX100, RX125, RD 350, Crux, and many more, not to forget Enticer, the cruiser. By August 2001, it transitioned into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd, Japan (YMC). This strategic shift allowed Yamaha to exercise greater control over its operations and strengthen its presence in India's burgeoning automotive sector. Even today, when buyers are out on a performance bike shopping, Yamaha showrooms are still one of the top destinations on the road to their selection.
