Royal Enfield Bear 650
Royal Enfield Bear 650 Latest Update
Last Updated on 29th Oct'24: The Bear 650 is yet another Royal Enfield motorcycle built on the proven 650cc platform. Based
on the Interceptor 650, the Bear 650 is a scrambler motorcycle with certain changes to make it more capable both on and off the road.
Engine: The Bear 650 receives the same 650cc, parallel-twin powertrain from the Interceptor, the Continental GT 650, the Super Meteor and the Shotgun 650. However, the tuning and the internals of the engine have been tweaked, as it now produces more torque, while the power output remains the same. The figures stand at 46.8bhp at 7250rpm, and 56.5Nm of torque at 5150rpm.
Design: The Bear 650 appears like a taller, tougher version of the Interceptor right away, with the same round headlamp, and the similar fuel tank. However, the raised stance, dual-purpose tyres, the beefier suspension setup and the exposed frame give it a more rugged, purposeful look. Unlike the Interceptor with its twin exhausts on, the Bear 650 gets a two-in-one exhaust design.
Hardware: While the frame and the platform is the same as the Interceptor, the Bear 650 gets a different suspension and braking setup, along with different tyre sizes. The Bear 650 gets a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel setup, along with USD front forks. Suspension travel has also gone up on both ends, with 130mm and 115mm at the front and rear respectively. The front disc remains a 320mm unit, while the rear disc is now a bigger 270mm unit.
Colour Options: You can choose from five colour options on the Bear 650, which will be differentiated by price. These colours include Two-Four Nine, Broadwalk White, Petrol Green, Golden Shadow, and Wild Honey.
Equipment: In terms of features, the Bear 650 gets the newer TFT cluster seen on the Himalayan, which also gets smartphone connectivity and Google Maps.
Expected Price: Prices of the new Bear will be out on November 4, 2024, and we can expect it to be around the Rs 3-4 lakh ballpark. The Bear 650 has no direct competitors in the Indian market as of now.
