Expert Verdict on Cromwell 1200

Brixton Cromwell 1200 Detailed Review
- The Cromwell 1200 looks more proportionate compared to its siblings, and it also gets a
smoother, more conservative approach overall. - The gaitered rubber tube treatment on the front forks further adds to the retro feeling,
making the Cromwell 1200 resemble an old British motorcycle. - Blacked-out mechanical components balance out the retro charm with a modern-day
vibe that keeps up with the times. - Available in three paint schemes; backstage black, timberwolf grey, cargo green

- The Cromwell 1200 comes with KYB suspension on both ends; 41mm USD forks with
120mm travel, along with twin shock absorbers with 87mm travel. - The Nissin braking system includes a 310mm twin-disc setup at the front with dual-piston
callipers, along with a 260mm disc with a dual-piston calliper. The dual-channel ABS
from Bosch adds further protection. - The 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke rims are shod on Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp
tyres. However, this motorcycle misses out on tubeless rims, which is strange for this
price point.
- The 1222cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine produces 81.8bhp at 6550rpm and
108Nm of torque at 3100rpm, while paired to a 6-speed transmission. - This motorcycle also gets ride-by-wire throttle, along with two riding modes; eco and
sport, which can alter its character depending on the rider’s needs. - With a kerb weight 235kg, the Cromwell 1200 won’t be the easiest to move at parking
speeds, but it should be fairly easy to ride at normal speeds.
Cromwell 1200 engine specifications:
| Transmission | Manual |
| Engine | 1222 cc |
- A round TFT display is on offer, which appears rather small, and its contents might be
difficult for riders to glance at while on the move. - The Cromwell 1200 packs in things such as cruise control, traction control, and a USB
port, but there is no mention of smartphone connectivity or navigation.
