Triumph Speed T4 Detailed Review
- The Triumph Speed T4 boasts a similar design as the Speed 400. It gets a modern classic design with a round LED headlamp with signature LED DRLs, a flat handlebar, a sculpted fuel tank, a ribbed seat, and a small LED tail lamp.
- The Speed T4 gets some differentiators which makes it different from the Speed 400. At the front, it misses on the golden USD forks and gets conventional telescopic forks which makes it different.
- The brand has increased the seat thickness by 10mm which will offer more comfort to the rider. Overall, the seat has become more comfortable. The fit and finish of the motorcycle are good and it is available in 3 colours namely Mettalic White, Phantom Black, and Cocktail Red Wine
Speed T4 body specifications:
| Ground Clearance | 170 mm |

- The major change that has been made in the Speed T4 is in its performance numbers. The Triumph Speed T4 produces 31 PS of power and 36 Nm of peak torque. This is a difference of 9PS in power and 1.5 Nm in torque as compared to the Triumph Speed 400.
- The motorcycle continues to get a 398cc engine and the brand claims with reduced output, it will offer better fuel efficiency. Moreover, the brand claims that the power and torque delivery is tuned in a way that the rider can get 85% of power under 3,000 RPM and 90% of power under 2,500 RPM. The motorcycle comes with a 6-speed gearbox aided with slip and assist clutch.
Speed T4 engine specifications:
| Transmission | Manual |
| Engine | 398.15 cc |
- To make the motorcycle more affordable, Triumph has removed the USD forks and fitted the T4 with conventional 43mm telescopic front forks. The rear gets a mono shock absorber with adjustment. The front forks are one of the biggest hardware differences between the T4 and the Speed 400.
- The Speed T4 also gets a smaller section tyre as compared to the Speed 400, however, the tyre size is the same. The front gets 110/70-17 in tyre while the rear gets 140/70-17.
- Braking duties on the motorcycle are handled by disc brakes on both ends. The front gets a 300 mm disc brake while the rear gets a 230 mm disc brake. The braking is further aided by dual-channel ABS.
- In terms of feature offerings, the Speed T4 is pretty basic. It gets a semi-digital instrument console, all-LED lighting, a USB type C charging port, dual-channel ABS, and a hazard lamp among other features. The cluster lacks the premium appeal and an addition of a TFT console would be much appreciated.
- However, the Speed T4 misses on a traction control system, navigation support, and some other features that some of the rivals offer.
