Bajaj Dominar 400

The Dominar 400 design caters to buyers who are looking for a comfortable naked sports bike that can cruise long-distance easily. The overall dimensions of the Bajaj Dominar 400 are large and wide enough. The motorcycle is easily visible on the traffic-filled roads due to its bigger and muscular dimensions. The length, width, and height of the Dominar 400 are 2156mm, 863mm, and 1243mm. The curb weight of the vehicle is 193kg. It is quite heavy and that is one of the drawbacks of The Dominar 400. The Dominar 400 is a big bike, especially when travelling through metropolitan streets with heavy traffic. The engine of the Bajaj Dominar 400 has been sourced from its KTM sibling bikes. Although, Bajaj has tuned this engine to make it more cruiser friendly and also to attain relaxed riding along with more fuel economy. The 373cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with a double overhead camshaft produces significantly more power and torque. Max power is 29.4kW (40PS) @ 8800rpm. The 35Nm max torque @ 6500 rpm Dominar's power comes on quickly and in a logical manner. The engine type is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine. It has ample reserve power for add-on rush even at the top end. The high torque range enables low gear shifts and greater fuel efficiency while cruising. Liquid cooling avoids overheating and guarantees that performance and noise vibration-harshness (NVH) characteristics remain unchanged even after many hours of riding. 

The addition of a sixth gear relieves stress on the transmission while also allowing for more relaxing traveling at high speeds. The triple spark technology offers a faster combustion rate when compared to a single or double spark layout. The fuel injection ensures air-fuel mixture to optimize combustion efficiency and offer the best fuel economy for the machine. The four-valve engine ensures that the engine breathes easy even while it is being revved to the limits, right up to the higher rpm. The city mileage of the Dominar 400 is 26.50 kmpl and the highway mileage is 34 kmpl. It accelerates from 0-100kmph in 7.1 seconds and the transmission type is manual.

A slipper clutch has been added as well which is a standard inclusion to prevent the rear wheel from locking and hopping while doing faster downshifts. It lessens the impacts of engine braking, protecting the transmission from being damaged by unexpected forces and so extending its life. For enhanced handling characteristics, a massive reinforced perimeter frame provides torsional stiffness and lateral strength. In the event of an emergency stop, the Twin Channel ABS kicks in, ensuring that the wheels do not lock or skid on any surface. The front disc brake which is 320mm with radical caliper installation offers greater braking performance, allowing you to go from 100 to zero kilometers per hour in just 42 meters. 

Because it lights up the road like daylight, the unique white LED headlight cluster leaves a lasting impression and provides a superb and safe night riding experience. Position lamp is one of four settings available on the headlamp. Automatic headlight on, low beam, and high beam cover a wide range of riding and illumination requirements. The bungee straps are neatly stowed under the pillion seat, and the four bungee straps help tie down luggage, boosting the Dominar 400's touring potential.
