The first and foremost thing that comes to our mind is the price. The Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z is available at a price tag of Rs 1,92,328 (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Bajaj Dominar 400 is priced at Rs 2.38 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 46,000 costlier than the 400Z. Let's find out if going for the Dominar justifies this price difference or not?

Powertrains

Both motorcycles, powered by the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, but the power figures slightly differ. The Pulsar NS 400Z belts out 43 PS of power while the Dominar 400 belts out 39.9 PS of power. Meanwhile, the torque remains the 35 Nm for both bikes. From this, we can make out that the NS 400Z is tuned for punchy throttle response, which makes it a bit more exciting. On the other hand, the Dominar 400 delivers a smooth, linear power, best suited for highway cruising.

Handling and Hardware

The NS400 Z is lighter, just 174 kg, and suspended on a perimeter frame for better and nimble handling. On the other hand, the Dominar 400 weighs 19kg more than NS, 193kg; this weight makes it stable at higher speeds, but a little difficult to manoeuvre in city traffic.
