Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z

This motorcycle, for Model Year 2025, has been updated at the core level, with no changes made from a design perspective. That said, it still looks lethal, aggressive, and premium - thanks to the golden USD forks at the front. The one we have is in Pewter Grey with neon accents, which looks stupendous. Now, let's begin with the changes it gets.

Starting with its 373cc engine delivering 43 PS now, up from 40 PS earlier, supported by a revised valvetrain, cam timings, and intake duct. Due to this surge in power, it can do 0 to 60 km/h acceleration test in 2.7 seconds, and 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. Even its top speed has reached a new height, 157 km/h, from 150 km/h earlier. To handle this extra power, Bajaj has used forged pistons in its engine for better thermal stability, reduced friction, and improved durability. Also, there's an all new radiator cowl which improves the heat management.

Other mechanical changes include: this bike now wears radial tyres, and the rear wheel is 150 mm wide, which improves grip and feedback levels. The front wheel remains the same at 110/70 - R17. It continues to be equipped with Dual Channel ABS and other saftey features - but this updated model has gained sintered brake pad for the front, that are made up of a mixture of metallic materials and ceramic compounds. They are a known for their stopping power and durability over mixed road conditions.

The final major update is the clutch-less full-throttle gear-shifting system. Unlike a quick shifter, this tech-based feature allows the rider to shift up without losing grip on the throttle. Don't forget, this system activates only in Sports mode.

Verdict
he asking price hasn't changed, but it has undergone copious amounts of changes that aim to provide a more thrilling riding experience. Will these changes contribute to more sales? Only if Bajaj markets it well, as this isn't a popular choice in the 400cc segment motorcycle. So, this is the challenge for the company.
