Why Was The N150 Discontinued?

The Pulsar N150 was introduced back in September 2023 as a sportier single disc variant of the N160, sharing its aggressive aesthetics but with a smaller 150cc engine. While on paper, it promised the best of both, modern design along with budget-friendly performance. However, in reality, it struggled to establish a clear identity of its own in the very competitive 150-150cc segment. The Pulsar P150 caters to the comfort-focused rider in their day-to-day commute. On the contrary, the N160 offers better performance and features. The N150 is left stranded in a grey zone, neither practical nor performance-oriented. Hence, it finds it difficult to catch up to the numbers.
What Was On Offer?

At the heart of this machine lies a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which belts out 14.5 PS and 13.5 Nm of torque. While the underpinnings have been shared with the elder sibling, N160. It is suspended on conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Moreover, braking duties are handled by a 260mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc or 130mm drum brake at the rear, depending upon the variant. While feature-wise it offered LED headlight and taillight, along with a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.

Verdict
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 had the looks and pricing to attract attention, but its unclear positioning between the P150 and N160 made it hard to justify. Neither focused on comfort nor performance, it fell into a space where demand was already well-covered by its siblings. With Bajaj tightening its Pulsar lineup, the N150's silent exit feels less like a surprise and more like a strategic move to declutter the brand's portfolio.
