The new KTM Duke 200 is an attractive-looking motorcycle. This naked streetfighter sports an aggressive stance and has a striking appeal. At the front, the new Duke 200 gets an angular headlamp cowl, just like the older Duke 250. The headlamp of this motorcycle is a halogen unit but it does get an LED DRL. However, it would have been better if KTM would have switched to a full LED unit like the one we get to see on the quarter-litre Duke and the flagship KTM Duke 390. Moving to the side profile, we can see that the new Duke 200 looks very fresh and sharp.
The new KTM Duke 200 gets a new muscular fuel tank with sharp tank extensions and Duke 200 branding on the fuel tank. The motorcycle gets a solid belly pan that helps in protecting the engine and there is an underbelly exhaust too. The new naked trellis frame of the motorcycle and its dual-tone colour scheme further enhances its look. At the rear, the Duke 200 gets a LED tail lamp and it also gets LED turn indicators. The new KTM Duke 200 is based on a steel trellis frame. The suspension duties on this new motorcycle are performed by 43 mm WP upside-down (USD) forks at the front with 150 mm travel and it gets a mono-shock absorber at the rear with 150 mm travel. The ride quality of the Duke 200 is on the stiffer side as it is a sports motorcycle. However, that being said, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable on our Indian roads and it glides over rough surfaces and speed breakers at ease. For braking duties, the motorcycle gets disc brakes at both ends.
At the front, the KTM Duke 200 gets a 300 mm disc while at the rear, it gets a 230 mm disc unit. Also, it gets dual-channel ABS as an additional safety aid from Bosch. What’s further interesting is that it now gets switchable supermoto mode too. The Duke 200 runs on 17-inch tubeless tyres. The front tyre of the motorcycle measures 110/70-17 while the rear one is a 150/60 section 17-inch unit. Talking about other features, the new KTM Duke 200 gets an all-digital instrument cluster loaded with a ton of information and orange backlit. It displays a digital speedometer, tachometer, odometer, twin trip meters, clock, etc.
