Ola Diamond Head Latest Update
Last Update on 18th Aug'25: Ola’s Diamond Head prototype was showcased at the Ola Sankalp 2025 event, where it was announced that the bike is expected to launch in 2027 with a staggering price tag of Rs 5 lakh. The CEO also revealed its breathtaking acceleration - just 2 seconds to reach 100 km/h. As the name suggests, it resembles a diamond and embodies the design one would expect from a futuristic motorcycle. However, no details about its battery pack, power output, or features have been disclosed yet.
Design: From the first look of it, there is nothing closely available in the Indian automotive industry that matches the wickedness level of the Ola Diamond Head. From the first go, it appears to be coming from a different planet, and it indeed looks like a diamond shaped bike. The body is fully covered and apart from the thin LED DRL nothing else can be figured out. Ola’s CEO Bhavish, at the unveiling, said that the bike will be made of space-grade aluminium, carbon fibre, and magnesium to keep it lightweight and rigid, enabling it to achieve its high-speed goals. The mirrors are mounted on the handlebars, while the footpegs are positioned far back, giving the rider an extremely aggressive seating posture. Based on this prototype, it’s clear that the bike is designed to be an exceptionally aggressive machine.
Powertrain: As of now, no specifications about its battery pack have been revealed, except that it will use Bharat Cell 4680 batteries. Additionally, it was announced at the Sankalp 2025 event that the Diamond Head will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds. It’s fair to predict that it could feature a battery pack of around 70 kWh and produce over 100 horsepower.
Features: The Diamond Head is expected to be equipped with adaptive suspensions, dual disc brakes at front and dual channel ABS. Other high tech features it might carry are ADAS, traction control, ride modes, smartphone connectivity, and regen modes.
Expected Price: At the Sankalp 2025 event, it was announced that Ola is targeting an ex-showroom price of around Rs 5 lakh for this e-roadster, which is scheduled to launch in 2027.
