KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Maruti Swift Internationally comes with AWD setup.
- The 3rd generation Isuzu V-Cross is available internationally.
- Fronx in Japan gets ADAS, AWD and 1.5L engine.
If you compare the automotive industry of India with another giant economy, you'll notice how much ahead they are of us in almost every factor. They have 50 plus variant options on a single car - which means, one can explore a vehicle which starts from Rs 10 lakh and can go up to Rs 30 lakh. To add more, the basic set of features they get is so high, that we Indians get the same at mid trims or even top trims.
One surprising element which just gives a tight reality check of our behindness is that - several cars are exported from India, but get more features than in their origin country. Expanding on this topic, here is a list of cars that offer better features and experience abroad than in India. Also, do join 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel to never miss out on automotive updates.

Maruti Fronx

One of the highest-selling cars of modern times, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is also exported to Japan, with features like ADAS and All Wheel Drive system. Moreover, it gets a 1.5L Mild Hybrid powertrain, the same as we get here with Grand Vitara Smart Hybrid. All Wheel Drive system is understandable as Japan is a country, where cars need grip from all wheels, as in snow you can't rely on the FWD system for too long, but a small SUV with ADAS speaks of the standard of the automotive market there. In India, this popular vehicle is offered with a 1.2L K-Series and a 1.0L turbo petrol.
Maruti Swift

This legendary vehicle earns praise across the globe - whether it's India, the UK, South Africa or Japan. However, the one we got felt too dry, when I checked the International Suzuki sites, as Swift gets ADAS features, ALL-GRIP, 12-V mild hybrid assist paired to a 1.2L petrol engine and All Grip system (AWD). To add more, Swift Sport - a high-performance-oriented version of this small hatchback also sells in several countries where this current generation is about to get one. The previous generation featured a 1.4L turbocharged engine with 140 PS and 230 Nm of torque, sending power to all four wheels. Imagine, if India ever gets it.
Toyota Fortuner

The Fortuner, often called the king of Indian roads, is also a very popular choice in several Asian countries. Thankfully, the difference between Indian Fortuner and those sold abroad isn't vast- but still, more features are always appreciated. Talking examples of the Thailand market, they get this 4x4 SUV with a 360-parking camera, a 9-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, and ambient lights. So, this isn't a major difference and speaks of the fact that it's high time for Toyota to introduce the next-generation Fortuner.
Isuzu V Cross

Internationally Isuzu has launched the third generation of this pickup truck and in India still, the second generation is on sale. Goes without saying, that the newer version takes it into a different league with its cabin quality, features on offer and a new-age design. However, the engine is the same 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel making 163 PS and 360 Nm of torque, paired with the same manual and automatic gearbox. Some of its feature highlights are - dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch digital driver's display, a 9-inch infotainment screen, leather upholstery, 8-way adjustable driver seat with lumbar support. When Isuzu India will launch it here? Only time will tell.
Isuzu MUX

This 7-seater SUV version of the V-Cross has been forgotten by people in India, because it feels like eternity since Isuzu last gave it an update. Like the V-Cross, this car too has entered a new generation and now offers a 3.0L diesel engine. This company isn't having a great time in India, as the competition is super tight and ask everyone to develop every year. So, to stay relevant, MUX needs a rebirth.
MG ZS EV

Last year, MG unveiled the second generation of ZS and notified that its EV counterpart will be replaced by the S5 EV, and in the UK and China, it's selling. So, the question of more features is out of the box- as International models are getting newer generations altogether. So, when MG will replace the ZS EV as now its competition has got extremely tough with the launch of Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE 6, BYD Atto 3 and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara. To make a name for itself in such tight competition, MG needs to hurry up and bring the latest models, with high-tech engineering.

Verdict
So, these are the cars which feel completely different when you experience them in International markets. They feel new, rich and completely different in some cases, as they have entered into new skin completely. Lastly, only Honda Elevate is the only vehicle which get the same set of specifications and features as Indian model.
