Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Mileage Tips

Air pressure vs Fuel economy

Keeping your car's tyre pressure at the recommended level improves fuel economy by up to 5%. Underinflated tyres create drag, causing the engine to work harder. Check air pressure every two weeks and before long trips. Slightly higher pressure (by 1-2 PSI) for highway drives can further boost mileage.

Perfect Hatchback

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is an excellent car with almost everything you need. It requires no frequent maintenance, offers good suspension and mileage, and provides a very comfortable driving experience. The color options, lighting, and smooth air conditioning are all top-notch. There's no unwanted noise or pollution, and the cushioned seats add to the comfort. It has smooth handling, a strong and heavy body, high ground clearance, and a great music system. Overall, it’s a smooth, reliable, and well-equipped hatchback.

Great Value with Minimal Maintenance

Review image by Manish Golani
I am proud owner of the Hyundai i10, and it’s the perfect car for a small family of four. With a boot space of around 250 liters, it’s sufficient for everyday needs, and the space can be expanded up to 1000 liters if the rear seats are folded. It’s a very reliable car with a silent engine and minimal maintenance costs. Regarding mileage, it delivers about 16-17 km/l in the city and around 18 km/l on the highway. The AC is powerful enough to cool the cabin, even in hot summers with temperatures up to 46°C. I’ve driven it on mountain roads, and it didn’t feel underpowered at all. I’ve also taken it to some of India’s famous forts, such as Jaigarh, Nahargarh, and Amber Fort, and the car handled the journey smoothly. Equipped with a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder engine from the Kappa series, it balances power and fuel efficiency, making it both pocket-friendly and reliable. The only cons I can point out are the build quality, which earned only 2 stars in GNCAP safety tests, and the fact that it comes with only two airbags (before the 2024 update, which now mandates six airbags). However, the quality of the metal and body is excellent, and it doesn’t rust easily. Another small issue is the ground clearance—on some larger speed breakers, the car occasionally touches the ground. Otherwise, the car is fantastic, and I would rate it a solid 9.5 out of 10. Hyundai’s service centers and customer support are outstanding, always ready to assist 24/7. Plus, it has a better resale value than many other brands. All in all, it’s worth every penny for the price it’s offered at."
