I have a 2018 Maruti Swift which has about 40 thousand kilometres on the odo. I live in an area where the roads are not in bad condition and the swift handles them effortlessly. The Swift is a nice looking vehicle and has reliable and robust components which make it a great car for family usage. The seats at the front are comfortable and driving this car for long distance is not a difficult task. The 1.2-L K Seris petrol engine mated to the slick shifting five speed manual gearbox makes it a great car to drive in almost all situations. The performance output from this motor is great while the fuel economy delivered by this is respectable as well. The Swift gives me around 15-16 KMPL which is not bad in my opinion. The after sales support of the brand so far has been great and all the issues are handled by the technicians effortlessly. The build quality of the car however should have been better.
I am using a second gen Maruti Swift which I bought in 2015. The car is powered by the 1.3-L DDis engine which is refined and smooth. The odo of the car stands at around 50 thousand kilometres and so far, I have had no issues with the car. The design of the Swift looks impressive and makes it look bulky and big. The interiors too are comfortable but the low seating makes ingress and egress a little too difficult for the older people. With this being said, I think the Swift is a great car and is very economical to be used in the longer run. The after sales support from Maruti has been decent so far and I have had no issues. The average service cost for this vehicle stands at around Rs seven to eight thousand per service.
I bought the Grand i10 nios just before the lockdown. I have a 1.2-L petrol variant have used it for just three hundred kilometres so far. The design of the car was distinctive and looked extremely appealing to me while the build quality too was better than its other rivals such as Swift. The cabin feels luxurious and gets almost all the bells and whistles. The seats are comfortable and the clutch too feels very light which makes it a great car for city usage. As per the display, the car returned around 15 KMPL but I will update this section once I have more experience about the car and the after sales support from the brand. In all, I think that the Grand i10 nios is one of the best cars in the segment.
Good vehicle but hyundai maintenance costly
