• Pros & Cons

  Pros, Cons

Pros	Positioned as one of the most technologically advanced SUVs in its segment, featuring an AI assistant Boasts a premium interior with a choice of two color options: Ivory & Sangria The 2024 update introduces new features, including wireless charging, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, ventilated seats, auto-dimming IRVM, and more Aggressively priced, with the top model available at Rs 17.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and equipped with Level 2 ADAS Offers an extensive array of features, such as a 360-camera, powered seats, automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, MG iSmart Suite, a panoramic sunroof, and more The addition of new lower variants enhances the overall value-for-money proposition for Astor Offer a good number of standard safety features such as all-4 disc brakes, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill-hold, traction control, rear fog lamp, ISOFIX child seat mount, all-5 3-point seatbelt, seatbelt reminder, and more	It offers 3 fuel types to suit various needs The Carens offers a premium cabin feel with 6 & 7 seater option It comes with features like a ventilated seat, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, an electric sunroof, wireless charging, automatic climate control and others The safety kit includes 6 airbags, all-4 disc brakes, ESP, ABS, VSM, and others The space inside the cabin is sufficient to carry big families The six-seater variant comes with second-row captain seats for enhanced comfort The ride quality of the Carens is impressive, despite being a long vehicle it gives normal car-like road manners The one-touch topple-down second-row seats give easy access to the third-row Availability of automatic transmission in all three powertrain options
Cons	No diesel engine is available The turbo petrol engine doesn't offer a manual transmission Base variants have only 2 airbags, whereas many other SUVs in this category now provide 6 airbags Although the Astor is longer, wider, and broader than other SUVs, its wheelbase isn't optimal, resulting in limited legroom at the rear The Astor is most comfortable for 4 adults; accommodating 5 adults might be challenging ADAS is available in the top-spec Savvy Pro variant only with the 1.3-litre turbo engine	The pricing of the top-spec variant is too high Six-seater configuration is available in the top-spec variants only The third row feels a little crammed mostly suitable for kids The positioning of the air purifier eats up the kneeroom of the second-row passenger behind the driver The reliability of the DCT gearbox is a question It misses on some features such as a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, and some others The diesel engine does not offer a proper manual gearbox, it comes with an iMT unit
