The Sportline variant sits sweetly in the middle where the Skoda Kushaq gets mild cosmetic refreshes but most importantly, the wheel size nnow jumps to 17 inches, making it moore visually appealing. Sadly, theres still no 1.5L turbo petrol in the mix, even when the prices have shot past Rs 15 lakhs ex-showroom for the 1.0L AT model.

Also, whats intersting is that, this is the only variant that offers you all the engine options in all gearbox combinations. Also, the features that it adds, makes a lot of sense and especially for those who desire it, a panoramic sunroof makes its debut.

Range-topping Monte Carlo is what the Skoda has the most offer in its Kushaq line-up. The pricing for this model tops out at Rs 18.99 lakhs for the Turbo 1.5L DSG. It adds a lot of sporty elements to the mix which makes it even more appealing.

'Monte Carlo' badging
17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels

Our Recommendations:

For those who do not want to strech their budgets much, the base Classic+ variant is excellently equipped, considering its price and even an automatic option. But if you want the best vaue for money, the second to top, Signature trim is what hits that sweet spot of price to value. You get a lot of functional and feel-good features including cruise control, keyless entry, digital driver's display, bigger infotainment screen, and much more. But if you're only considering the 1.5L turbo mill, the Prestige and the Monte Carlo trims are your only option, which are pretty good choice, if youre in to spoil yourself with the best that there is to offer.

Verdict

The Skoda ushaq facelift comes in at a time when the segment has once again picked up pace with the launch of Renault Duster. Does that mean more danger to the sales of Kushaq? While the germans are knwon for thier hardcore driver centric performance, the new entrants always dent sales numbers across the range. But since the Kushaq very cleverly positions its variant line-up, a lot of buyers will be tempted to pick it up, offering a lot of things, carefully curated, across the split.
