Tata Sierra Bharat NCAP: Full House Of 5 Stars!

Tata Sierra, as expected, beyond its usual hype, has scored a full house of 5 stars in the Bharat NCAP test ratings. As for the scores, in the adult occupant protection (AOP) category, the Tata Sierra delivers an outstanding performance with a score of 31.14 out of 32. The crash test results indicate strong structural integrity, with most critical areas such as the chest, knees, and lower legs receiving good to adequate protection ratings. During testing, the Sierra scored 15.14 out of 16 in the frontal offset crash, while achieving a perfect 16 out of 16 in the side impact test. It also successfully cleared the side pole impact test, demonstrating consistent protection across different crash scenarios.

The Sierra continues its strong showing in the child occupant protection (COP) category as well, scoring 44.73 out of 49 points, which again translates to a 5-star rating. It achieved near-perfect scores in dynamic crash tests and a full score in child seat installation checks, ensuring secure and stable child seat mounting. Additionally, the SUV performed well in protecting both 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies, highlighting its effectiveness in safeguarding younger passengers.

Tata Sierra Engine Options
The Tata Sierra is offered with a choice of three powertrains, with the lineup including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. The NA petrol produces 105 bhp and 145 Nm, and can be paired with either a manual or DCA transmission. The turbo-petrol variant delivers 158 bhp and 255 Nm, and is offered with an automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the diesel engine puts out 115 bhp and 260 Nm, and is available with both manual and automatic transmission options. Prices for the Sierra range from Rs 11.49 lakh to Rs 21.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
