Mahindra has launched the BE 6 SPORTEQ at Rs 19.45 lakh, or Rs 11.45 lakh with the new Battery-as-a-Service plan that makes the eSUV a lot more accessible. The BE 6 has always been one of the most loaded electric SUVs in its segment, and the SPORTEQ update pushes that further, with a triple-screen dashboard, a new 70 kWh battery option, and a noticeably longer feature list overall. What's interesting is that all this is spread across five trim groups, ONE, TWO, THREE/FE, THREE+ and FOUR/Launch Edition/FE Four, so figuring out which one actually suits you isn't straightforward. This article breaks down what each trim offers at its price point, including the one I'd pick.
ONE

Battery | Motor Power | Range (MIDC P1+P2) | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
59 kWh | 170 kW | 573 km | Rs 19.45 lakh (Rs 11.45 lakh + Rs 3.75/km with BaaS) |
One is the base trim and it doesn't feel like a stripped-down entry variant at all. The BE 6 One offers you a claimed range of 573 km on a solitary charge, power comes from a 170kW, and single-pedal drive with multi-level regen. What stands out is how much tech Mahindra has packed in right from here, it comes with Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 5G connectivity, a built-in Amazon Alexa, and access to over 60 apps through Fun&Work. Not only that safety has also been taken care of, it has got six airbags, ESP, and brake-by-wire tech come standard, so you're not compromising there either. The only thing that is missing here is the triple-screen layout instead of that you have the Dual Super HD screen setup and the Sage Green & Grey interior theme, which is exclusive to this trim.

TWO

|---|---|---|---|
59 kWh | 170 kW | 573 km | Rs 20.95 lakh (Rs 12.95 lakh + Rs 3.75/km with BaaS) |
TWO is where the SPORTEQ starts looking like the eSUV that mahindra has shown in the ads. You get the full triple-screen layout here instead of the base dual-screen setup, and the cabin feels premium too, with a leatherette-wrapped dashboard, door trims, and steering wheel. This is also the point where the NFC-based digital key access shows up, so you can unlock and drive the BE 6 with just a card. Apart from that it gets 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos, not just a spec sheet number, it sounds noticeably better than the base 6-speaker setup. If you want that signature triple-screen look without paying for the top trims, TWO gets you there.

THREE / FE

Battery | Motor Power | Range (MIDC P1+P2) | Price | |
THREE | 59 kWh / 70 kWh | 170 kW / 180 kW | 573 km / 651 km | Rs 21.95 lakh / Rs 22.95 lakh |
FE | 79 kWh | 210 kW | 708 km | Rs 24.45 lakh |

THREE is the trim where this eSUV brings some genuinely premium things rather than just well-equipped. The fixed glass panoramic sunroof, sequential turn indicators, and the start-up animation on the screens all add a bit of theatre every time you get in. You also get 6-way powered driver memory seats and ventilated front seats here; features you don't expect to find this early in a lineup. Moreover, the FE, or Formula E Freedom Edition, sits in a slightly different lane. It skips the triple-screen setup in favour of the original dual-screen, Halo instrument panel layout that Formula E fans will recognise, and pairs it with the bigger 79 kWh battery for 708 km of range and an intelligent adaptive suspension setup that isn't on the standard THREE. It's less about more screens and more about a sportier driving character.

THREE+

Battery | Motor Power | Range (MIDC P1+P2) | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
70 kWh / 79 kWh | 180 kW / 210 kW | 651 km / 708 km | Rs 23.95 lakh / Rs 24.95 lakh |
THREE+ in this trim safety has taken a significant step up, and that alone makes it worth considering over THREE. It has Level 2 ADAS with a radar and vision camera, cornering lamps, and auto booster lamps, features that make a genuine difference on Indian highways at night. Mahindra has also added a personal touch here with TEQ_xting, which lets you display personalised messages and animations on the tailgate, and a power-operated tailgate with gesture control, which is handy when your hands are full. The LightMeUp ambient lighting and Night Trail carpet lamps give the cabin a nicer after-dark feel too. If ADAS is a priority for you, and it should be, THREE+ is the trim that gets you there without jumping to the range-topping variants.

FOUR / Launch Edition / FE Four

Battery | Motor Power | Range (MIDC P1+P2) | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
79 kWh | 210 kW | 708 km | Rs 26.95 lakh |

This is the top of the SPORTEQ range, and also the point where Mahindra brings in the features you'd genuinely brag about to a friend. TEQ talk, powered by Google Gemini, is the headline addition, a conversational AI that handles over 100 functions and 48 apps through voice alone. Then there's the in-car gaming suite with support for up to four Bluetooth controllers, karaoke mode, and Dolby Vision, none of which you'll find on any rival at this price. The StraightAhead AR head-up display and HandsFree Park via the Me4U app are genuinely useful too, not just gimmicks. Safety also gets a real bump with Level 2+ ADAS running 5 radars and a vision camera, plus a knee airbag. The Launch Edition adds an exclusive Graphite Storm exterior with the Racing Tan interior, while the FE Four keeps the Formula E's dual-screen character with capsense start and a virtual engine sound switch. If you want the fullest expression of what the BE 6 SPORTEQ can do, this is it.
Category | Features |
|---|---|
Performance | Intelligent adaptive suspension |
Technology | TEQTalk with Google Gemini, in-car gaming suite, private audio, karaoke, Dolby Vision, StraightAhead AR head-up display, HandsFree Park, Qualcomm 8295 chip, VR-LED air filtration with AQI display |
Design | Fixed glass panoramic sunroof with LED pattern, exclusive Graphite Storm colour (Launch Edition) |
Safety | L2+ ADAS (5 radar & 1 vision camera), Secure360 Pro with live view and intrusion alert, continuous DVR, knee airbag |
Comfort & Convenience | Approach unlock and walk-away lock, one-touch driver window, capsense push button start and VESS (FE Four only) |
Value for Money Variant
If I had to pick one, it's THREE+. You get the ADAS suite, the powered tailgate, and the personalisation features that actually get used day to day, without paying for the full Google Gemini voice assistant and gaming suite that not everyone will use regularly. The 70 kWh battery option on THREE+ also strikes a good balance between range and price. Unless in-car gaming and AI voice control are things you'll genuinely use, jumping to FOUR starts to feel like paying for features that'll sit unused most of the time.
