
Jeep has finally the wraps off the 2021 Compass facelift and unveiled it in the Guangzhou auto show in China. We shared with you the leaked images straight out from the auto show hours ago and now, Jeep has unveiled the 2021 Compass facelift. There are a lot of changes which Jeep has made to the new Compass and it is bigger than before. Let's get in details and see what has really changed.

On the exteriors, some changes are clearly visible - prominently on the front profile. The 7-slat grille now gets a chrome mesh pattern which is flanked with sleeker and narrower LED headlights. The lower air dam is now incorporated in a gloss black finishing which also houses the repositioned fog lamps. The side profile of the new model is exactly similar but India-spec model is expected to come with a new set of alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, things are similar to tweaked LED taillights and twin exhaust pipes.

As we told you earlier, the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift is bigger than the model it replaces. Jeep has increased the length of the Compass by 29mm and height by 17mm whereas the Trailhawk model will get increased height by 25mm. However, the wheelbase is intact at 2636mm. Jeep also revealed the off-road centric model with rugged looks and beefier suspension and that is speculated to be similar to the Trailhawk model we get in India.

Coming to the interiors, the dashboard layout is completely changed and it looks sophisticated than before. The dashboard gets a dual-tone treatment which is draped in leather. The upper dashboard houses a free-standing 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system which gets both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The lower part of the dashboard is draped in tan leather and houses the AC vents and key shortcuts for the infotainment. Interestingly, Jeep has offered the seamless AC vents and a running strip of the chrome covers the width of the dashboard. We also get a 10.25-inch digital driver's display and a new steering wheel with controls.

Talking about the powertrains, Jeep India is expected to retain both the 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines. However, we won't be surprised if Jeep Compass facelift comes with the updated and more fuel-efficient 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. The power output of both the engines will be similar to the current version and the trannies will be similar too. Jeep is expected to launch the 2021 Compass facelift in the Indian market next year and it will bring some updated tech and features.
